PepsiCo has officially launched the 2026 "IMPACT Edition" of its Greenhouse Program in the Asia Pacific region, signalling a structural shift in how the global food and beverage giant interacts with the startup ecosystem. Moving into its fourth year, the initiative is moving away from broad idea exploration to focus exclusively on the scaled integration of proven sustainability solutions into PepsiCo’s regional operations.

The move is a central component of PepsiCo Positive (pep+), the company’s end-to-end strategic transformation that places environmental stewardship and human health at the centre of its commercial infrastructure.

“In Asia Pacific, the next wave of competitive advantage will come from how quickly we can turn practical innovation into scaled commercial outcomes. Our priority is to focus on solutions that strengthen resilience in our value chain, accelerate execution in the market, and advance pep+ in ways that are measurable for both our business and our partners. This edition of the PepsiCo Greenhouse Program reflects a deliberate shift from exploring ideas broadly to backing the solutions most capable of creating strategic advantage across the region,” said Anne Tse, Chief Executive Officer, Asia Pacific, PepsiCo.

By focusing on five high-affinity alumni startups, PepsiCo is de-risking its innovation pipeline and accelerating the execution of sustainability targets that impact farming, manufacturing, and logistics.

The 2026 Cohort

The selected startups represent a cross-section of the most critical challenges facing the modern F&B supply chain, with a heavy emphasis on AI-led logistics and high-precision agricultural tech.

  • Adiona (Australia): Utilises an AI-powered logistics platform to optimise route planning. The technical goal is to drive fleet efficiency and reduce Scope 3 emissions across PepsiCo’s extensive bottler networks.

  • Bali Waste Cycle (Indonesia): Operates a decentralised waste processing model. This infrastructure allows for the recovery of low-value plastics, helping PepsiCo meet Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements and fortify recycling supply chains.

  • Beijing AIForce Tech (China): Focuses on electric, automated agricultural machinery. By automating labour-intensive farming processes, the technology reduces on-farm emissions and mitigates regional labour shortages for growers.

  • Takachar (Thailand): Provides biochar technology that converts agricultural crop residues into soil-enhancing materials, facilitating carbon sequestration and reducing open-field burning.

  • X-Centric (Australia): A digital soil analytics platform that enables high-precision measurement of soil health, allowing for the optimisation of inputs in regenerative agriculture programmes.

Mentorship and Capital Ecosystem

The seven-month programme integrates the startups into PepsiCo’s daily workflows, providing access to cross-functional mentors and an expanded network of venture capital and academic partners. Collaborators such as AgFunder Asia and Nanyang Technological University (SAIL) provide the technical and financial oversight required to move these solutions from "trials" to "infrastructure."

This ecosystem approach ensures that as the solutions mature, they have a clear route to adoption and potential institutional investment, creating a "sovereign" sustainability network within the APAC region.

As the industry moves toward 2030 net-zero targets, the success of the PepsiCo Greenhouse IMPACT Edition will serve as a benchmark for how multinational corporations can successfully bridge the "adoption gap" for green technology.
