Quick-service restaurant Taco Bell has announced the nationwide rollout of a limited-time co-branded menu platform in partnership with seasoning enterprise Tajín International and regional Mexican music artist Peso Pluma.
Rolling out to participating US store locations on 13 August 2026, the promotional push introduces three new menu offerings incorporating Tajín Clásico Seasoning across Taco Bell's taco, flatbread, and frozen beverage formats.
The collaboration enters the North American quick-service restaurant (QSR) category, demonstrating how global brand owners deploy high-equity ingredient partnerships, celebrity ambassador activations, and mobile app-based loyalty drops to drive store footfall and digital transaction frequency.
Co-Branded Menu Lineup and Flavour Profiles
The limited-time menu platform pairs Tajín's blend of mild chilli peppers, lime, and sea salt with core Taco Bell menu structures.
The three products featured in the nationwide commercial rollout include:
🌮 Tajín Taco: A crunchy taco shell dusted with Tajín seasoning, filled with seasoned beef, Spicy Ranch sauce, crisp lettuce, shredded cheese, and mango salsa, served with an individual Tajín Clásico Seasoning packet at a price point of US$2.99.
🧀 Tajín Cheesy Gordita Crunch: Combines a warm flatbread layered with a melted three-cheese blend (mozzarella, pepper jack, and cheddar) wrapped around a Tajín-seasoned crunchy taco shell filled with seasoned beef, Spicy Ranch sauce, lettuce, cheddar cheese, and mango salsa, served with a Tajín packet at US$5.99.
🥤 Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze: A frozen blended beverage combining tropical pineapple flavouring with strawberry syrup and Tajín seasoning, offered in 16 oz (US$3.99) and 20 oz (US$4.19) sizes.
Luis Restrepo, Chief Marketing Officer for North America at Taco Bell, stated that the partnership unites two established brand communities by combining familiar menu formats with distinct seasoning profiles.
Ingredient Licensing
The commercial launch follows initial platform reveals at Taco Bell's Live Más LIVE industry showcase, alongside subsequent regional test market evaluations that confirmed multi-region demand for sweet-and-spicy ("swicy") flavour profiles.
By integrating Tajín's chilli-lime seasoning into its central menu, the QSR brand leverages third-party CPG brand equity to differentiate its LTO lineup without adding operational complexity to kitchen preparation lines.
Haydeé Fernández, Director of Alliances at Tajín International, noted that pairing Tajín seasoning with established QSR menu items provides a scalable pathway for consumers to experience ingredient-led flavour variations.
Celebrity Partnership
To accelerate digital engagement among Gen Z and millennial demographics, Taco Bell and Tajín partnered with music artist Peso Pluma to endorse the menu lineup and support promotional marketing.
Alongside the physical menu launch, the enterprise is utilising digital app-based rewards to drive mobile ordering frequency and app downloads:
Exclusive Mobile Drop: Deploying a limited-edition 400-unit collectable bag charm set through the "Tuesday Drops" feature in the official Taco Bell mobile application on 18 August 2026.
Co-Branded Collectables: The custom accessory kit includes a hand-beaded holder for a mini Tajín bottle, a Taco Bell hot sauce pouch, and Peso Pluma branding.
Omnichannel Marketing Integration: Supported by multi-platform digital video storytelling, social media campaigns, and point-of-sale retail merchandising.
The multi-faceted execution underlines ongoing QSR strategies that blend menu innovation, high-profile culture ambassadors, and digital rewards platforms to build brand affinity and capture high-velocity dining occasions.
