Pringles has launched a Halloween marketing campaign titled "Once You Drop", inviting consumers to sign a symbolic "will and taste-ament" pledging to be buried in a crisp can for a chance to win a custom, precious-metal Pringles urn and a 200-year supply of the snack.
Inspired by the real-life burial of legendary Pringles can inventor Fred Baur in 2008, the seasonal activation runs from 13 October through 22 October via the dedicated promotional portal OnceYouDrop.com. The campaign is supported by a digital short film featuring licensed funeral director Dan The Funeral Man, tapping into dark humour and absurdist storytelling during the peak autumn trading window.

"Pringles has always been about the joy of the unexpected and this campaign takes our 'Once You Drop' tagline literally: the pop don't stop, not even once fans 'drop'," said Mauricio Jenkins, Salty Snacks Brand & Content Lead, Mars Snacking North America.
"Leaning into Halloween's dark humour and Gen Z's taste for absurdist storytelling, we're putting Pringles on the salty side of Halloween and rewarding the ultimate fan in the most lasting way possible — by making the Pringles can part of their legacy."
Promotion and Prizes
Participants visiting the campaign website during the operational window can submit their digital signature on the promotional agreement to enter the random prize draw.
🏺 Custom Precious-Metal Urn: One grand-prize winner, to be notified around 31 October, will receive a hand-engraved, precious-metal burial vessel featuring a removable lid mirroring the brand's silhouette.
🥔 Afterlifetime Supply: The winning package includes a 200-year supply of Pringles, calculated to cover lifetime consumption and multi-generational family inheritance.
Participants can download a digital seal of commitment to share across social media channels tagged with @Pringles, extending digital engagement without requiring commercial retail activation.
