Nestlé Toll House has expanded its seasonal portfolio with the launch of the 12 Days of Nestlé Toll House Advent Calendar, marking the brand’s first foray into the holiday countdown format.
Priced at $29.99, the limited-edition calendar will be sold exclusively through the brand's direct-to-consumer (DTC) digital storefront via three scheduled inventory releases on 9 October, 6 November, and 4 December 2026. The launch pairs refrigerated cookie doughs with ambient baking morsels, translating traditional confectionery countdown mechanics into an interactive home-baking experience.
"For generations, Nestlé Toll House has brought people together in the kitchen to bake, share and celebrate," said Melanie Knoke, Senior Marketing Manager at Nestlé Toll House.
"Our first-ever advent calendar brings that spirit to life with a mix of new holiday innovations like Snowflake Cookie Dough and Morsels, alongside beloved favourites like our Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels and Peppermint Cocoa Cookie Dough. With something for every kind of baker, we're giving fans all the ingredients to count down the season, inspire new baking traditions, and celebrate the moments that make the holidays so memorable."
Direct-to-Consumer Drop Strategy and Packaging Architecture
The product rollout relies on a phased DTC "drop" model, releasing inventory batches at 2:00 pm ET across three designated dates leading into the peak festive period, concluding on National Cookie Day on 4 December.
The physical packaging is constructed in the shape of a house, drawing visual cues from the historic Toll House Inn in Massachusetts where the original chocolate chip cookie was created. Engineered as a countertop display, the structure incorporates 12 numbered doors designed to double as detachable festive greeting cards, revealing individual product vouchers and items behind each panel.
By retailing the calendar exclusively through its digital platform, Nestlé USA bypasses standard refrigerated supermarket distribution constraints for seasonal variety packs, allowing the brand to evaluate consumer appetite for hybrid ambient-and-chilled novelty formats while collecting first-party customer data.

Holiday Merchandising and Home Baking Demand
The advent calendar format reflects wider product development trends across the ambient and refrigerated bakery segments, where brand owners increasingly use limited-edition variety kits to capture fourth-quarter discretionary spending.
While seasonal advent calendars have historically centred on ready-to-eat chocolate countlines and beauty products, adapting the concept to home-baking ingredients encourages repeat kitchen occasions throughout November and December. By incorporating both new SKU innovations and staple baking lines into a collectable format, Nestlé Toll House provides an experiential vehicle to drive brand engagement during the year's highest-volume baking period.
