Nestlé has launched a new range of dessert culinary solutions across Brazil and China as part of its Modern Cooking growth platform.

The launch introduces three-step dessert kits requiring less than 15 minutes of active preparation time, enabling consumers to prepare desserts including pudding, tiramisù, cheesecake, and brigadeirão. By adapting a single innovation platform to distinct regional dessert cultures, the company is deploying the range across multiple markets from the outset.

The rollout coincides with Nestlé marking 160 years of dessert expertise, representing an evolution from standalone ingredients toward complete dessert solutions.

Modern Cooking Platform and Category Opportunity

The product introduction addresses opportunities within the global ready-to-prepare sweet segment, an addressable category valued at CHF 98 billion according to research from Euromonitor and Global Data.

Consumer research from Kantar (2025), U&A Sweet (2025), and Category Plus (November 2024) indicates that 84 per cent of consumers say they would bake more frequently if preparation were easier.

Stephanie Arnesen, Category Lead for Dairy Culinary Solutions in Nestlé's Food Strategic Business Unit, stated: "Modern Cooking is a key growth platform for Nestlé, and the new dessert culinary solutions range shows what that strategy looks like in practice. We are taking one innovation platform, adapting it to local dessert cultures and launching it across multiple markets from the outset. Combining global scale with local relevance is how we continue to grow and innovate. By bringing together our culinary expertise and deep understanding of consumer needs, we are helping consumers create delicious homemade desserts with greater confidence."

Market Portfolios and Consumer Testing Scores

The new culinary solutions enter commercial distribution with dedicated portfolios formulated for each launch market:

Brazil Launch Portfolio: 🍮 Moça Pudding, 🍫 Moça Brigadeirão

China Launch Portfolio: ☕ Nestlé Tiramisù, 🍰 Nestlé Cheesecake

During consumer testing, the formulations exceeded the standard Ipsos action benchmark of 115 across trial score evaluations:

Pudding: Recorded a trial score of 120.

Cheesecake: Recorded a trial score of 138.

Tiramisù: Recorded a trial score of 137.

Internal Demonstration and Launch

To communicate the concept and address the challenge of explaining the three-step format, Nestlé conducted an in-house bake-off where colleagues demonstrated the simplicity of the preparation process rather than relying on standard product demonstrations.

The multi-market commercial launch will be supported by:

  • Social and digital content

  • Local influencer-led brand communities

  • E-retail channels

  • Sampling activities

  • Point-of-sale communication
