California-based Joel Gott Wines has announced the launch of Sauvy B, a new canned Sauvignon Blanc spritz formulated with added electrolytes.

The introduction of Sauvy B comes as consumer preferences shift toward beverages that align with active or wellness-minded lifestyles. By incorporating electrolytes into a wine-based spritz, the launch addresses a growing interest in functional hydration attributes within the broader alcohol segment.

As an established label within the premium wine category, Joel Gott Wines has previously secured multiple recognitions for quality and consistency. Expanding into the canned wine format allows the producer to diversify its packaging portfolio and access new off-trade retail channels where traditional glass bottles are often restricted.

Product Specifications and Flavour Profile

Unlike many RTD spritzes and seltzers that rely on a malt or neutral spirit base, Sauvy B is crafted utilising a base of real California Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is blended with sparkling water, bright citrus flavours, and electrolytes sourced from Himalayan pink salt.

Each 12oz can has an alcohol-by-volume (ABV) of 4.5% and contains approximately 100 calories. The range is gluten-free and designed to provide a lighter alternative to standard still wines.

The product is launching in two initial varieties:

🍋 Lime

🍊 Grapefruit

The line was developed by fourth-generation California vintner Joel Gott alongside his wife and winemaking partner, Sarah Gott. The brand aims to leverage its established reputation in the Sauvignon Blanc category to introduce the grape variety to non-traditional consumption occasions.

Retail Distribution

The commercial rollout of Sauvy B is structured across a tiered distribution timeline to establish market visibility before scaling nationally.

The initial retail launch begins this month across select major United States retailers, including Walmart, Target, and Total Wine & More, alongside online availability in designated markets.

The product is packaged in four-packs of 12oz cans with a suggested retail price (SRP) of $13.99. Following the initial summer rollout, Joel Gott Wines plans to initiate an expanded national distribution campaign in January 2027.
