Ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee brand happy®, co-founded by Robert Downey Jr. and Craig Dubitsky, has partnered with Marvel Studios to release a limited-edition collector's beverage line tied to the upcoming feature film Avengers: Doomsday.
Rolling out to grocery multiples, mass merchandisers, and convenience retailers across the United States ahead of the film's theatrical release on 18 December, the collection features eight distinct can designs. The range adapts four of the brand's core RTD recipes into 11-ounce cans finished with high-resolution, tactile packaging graphics.
The collaboration connects Hollywood intellectual property with functional ready-to-drink coffee, utilising character-led packaging to drive retail velocity and collectability in the impulse beverage fixture.
"Doomsday is coming. We brought coffee," said Robert Downey Jr., co-founder of happy. "Eight cans, eight characters, zero spoilers."
Craig Dubitsky, co-founder of happy, added: "A company called happy collaborating with a movie called Doomsday felt too perfect to pass up. Great films like this create anticipation, participation, connection and, ultimately, joy. That's the business we're in, too. Coffee is our first delivery system, with plenty more ways to deliver that feeling ahead."

Packaging and Beverage Formulations
The promotional programme spans eight collectable can iterations showcasing Marvel Cinematic Universe figures: Doctor Doom, Black Panther, Captain America, Gambit, Mister Fantastic, Mystique, The Thing, and Thor.
The eight exterior designs are paired across four existing liquid formulations within happy's RTD portfolio:
☕ Classic Cold Brew: A straight, cold-steeped coffee formulation delivering a smooth, low-acidity black coffee profile.
🍦 Tahitian Vanilla Cold Brew: Cold-brewed coffee infused with aromatic Tahitian vanilla flavour notes.
🥛 Vanilla Latte: A ready-to-drink milk and espresso blend balanced with sweet vanilla flavouring.
🍫 Chocolatey Chip Latte: A confectionery-style iced latte pairing coffee and dairy with rich chocolate notes.
All variants are packaged in 11-ounce aluminium cans engineered with specialised tactile print finishes to enhance in-hand grip and shelf appeal in refrigerated display cases.
Licensing and Branding
The co-branded release illustrates the expanding use of high-profile film licensing to establish differentiation within the convenience and off-premise ready-to-drink coffee segments.
By pairing recognisable comic book and film personas with coffee staples, the initiative targets both casual grocery shoppers and pop-culture enthusiasts. The multi-can collectability mechanism incentivises repeat basket purchases and multi-unit transactions across participating retail accounts.
"When the stakes are this high, every hero needs the right fuel," said Holly Frank, Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships & Promotions at Disney. "As fans gear up to see Avengers: Doomsday in theatres, happy is giving them a fun way to get charged up and ready for their next adventure."
Retail Distribution
The limited-edition Avengers lineup has commenced a national commercial rollout across physical grocery multiples, regional supermarket chains, discount formats, and e-commerce platforms.
Availability and specific character designs will rotate across participating stockists throughout the promotional window while supplies last.
