Java Holdings LLC has announced the acquisition of +Peptide, including its brand assets and proprietary high-quality protein supplement formulas. While financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, the move signifies a strategic expansion into the functional coffee segment for the diversified holding company.
The deal integrates +Peptide into a growing ecosystem of coffee and coffee-adjacent brands, positioning Java Holdings to capitalise on the convergence of daily coffee rituals and the "protein revolution."
Portfolio Integration and Strategy
+Peptide joins a diversified stable of brands under the Java Holdings umbrella, each targeting a specific niche within the coffee value chain:
JavaMania: B2B, direct-to-consumer, and dropshipping.
Libertyville Coffee Co.: Local speciality roasting and franchising.
Arabica Labs: Institutional-grade quality, emissions, and performance testing.
+Peptide: Functional, protein-forward coffee.
Under the new ownership structure, +Peptide will continue to operate as a standalone brand. However, it will now leverage Java Holdings' shared infrastructure, manufacturing expertise, and multi-channel distribution network, which spans wholesale, institutional, and D2C platforms.
Brian Bossler, Managing Partner of Java Holdings LLC, commented on the strategic fit: "Each of our brands serves a distinct role in the coffee ecosystem. With +Peptide, we're bringing functional nutrition directly into that ecosystem. They've built something genuinely differentiated at the intersection of coffee ritual and the protein revolution, and we're excited to scale that vision using the operational depth, distribution reach, and technical capabilities already in place across Java Holdings."
Anna Grace Hand, co-founder and Head of Marketing for +Peptide, added: "+Peptide was created to make functional nutrition effortless by meeting people where they already are, with their daily coffee. Joining Java Holdings allows us to preserve that focus while accelerating growth. Their portfolio uniquely spans craftsmanship, science, and scale, which makes this an ideal home for the brand."
Java Holdings has indicated that future synergies across its portfolio may include expanded product development and deeper institutional partnerships. The company expects to make additional announcements regarding these collaborations later in the year.
