Dunkin' has launched a nationwide commercial partnership with Marvel Studios in support of the upcoming theatrical release Avengers: Doomsday, debuting a character-themed menu, retail merchandise collection, and multi-city experiential restaurant transformations.
The promotional campaign rolls out across participating Dunkin' locations nationwide, accompanied by a national commercial spot starring Channing Tatum reprising his role as Gambit alongside the robotic character H.E.R.B.I.E. from the Fantastic Four franchise. The multi-tiered collaboration connects food and beverage menu development with film marketing ahead of the picture's theatrical premiere on 18 December.
The partnership highlights the ongoing deployment of entertainment intellectual property across the quick-service restaurant (QSR) sector, using limited-edition menu builds, collectable drinkware, and immersive physical takeovers to drive footfall and lift average basket values during the fourth quarter.
"Marvel fans have a deep connection to these characters and stories, and collaborating with Marvel Studios 'Avengers: Doomsday' has allowed us to bring that excitement into the everyday Dunkin' experience," said Jill Nelson, Chief Marketing Officer at Dunkin'.
"Whether guests are discovering the campaign, visiting one of our transformed restaurants or exploring the menu and collectables, there's a fun way for every fan to join the action."
"Marvel Studios' 'Avengers: Doomsday' brings heroes from across three universes together as they face an unthinkable threat," added Holly Frank, Vice President of Global Partnerships at Marvel Studios. "Dunkin' plays on these high stakes in a fun spot with Gambit and Herbie and experiential activations that invite fans to engage with the film through unexpected moments both inside and beyond its restaurants."
