BERO, the premium non-alcoholic beer brand co-founded by actor Tom Holland and chief executive John Herman, has announced the launch of its first-ever shandy product line.

The limited-edition seasonal collection represents the brand's first major category expansion since its debut. Crafted with a blend of 30% BERO Kingston Golden Pils and 70% lemonade, the range is enhanced with natural fruit flavours and is packaged in a new, sleek 12oz can format.

According to leadership, the launch is designed to diversify the brand's portfolio, introducing BERO to non-beer drinkers and expanding occasion-based consumption across summer trading windows.

Product Formulation and Flavour Profiles

The new range utilises the brand's core non-alcoholic pilsner as its base, layering classic citrus notes with contemporary fruit profiles. The seasonal collection comprises four distinct variants:

🌅 Daybreak Shandy: A combination of fresh lemon-lime citrus over a crisp lager base, delivering a bright and tart finish.

📊 Golden Hour Shandy: A citrus-forward blend featuring pink grapefruit layered into a smooth lager with a mellow sweetness.

🌇 Sunset Shandy: A floral and complex profile combining delicate elderflower with bright lemon notes.

🌃 Midnight Shandy: A bold, fruit-forward option pairing ripe blackberry tartness with the herbal qualities of yuzu citrus.

Retail Distribution

The brand is executing a phased commercial rollout across both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and national retail channels to support the launch:

  • Direct-to-Consumer: An exclusive pre-sale begins on 1 June 2026 for members of the brand's loyalty club, followed by a full online launch on 8 June 2026.

  • National Retail Launch: Target will become the first national retail partner to stock the range on shelves, with distribution commencing on 14 June 2026.

  • Wider Distribution: Beginning 1 July 2026, availability will expand to major retail chains, including Total Wine, Sprouts, Gelsons, BevMo, Fresh Market, and Hyvee.

  • Hospitality and On-Trade: The shandy line will also roll out to various on-trade and hospitality accounts, including HEI Hotels & Resorts and Thompson Hotels.

Portfolio Expansion

The non-alcoholic beverage sector has seen sustained growth, with brand operators increasingly launching hybrid formats to appeal to a broader demographic.

John Herman, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of BERO, stated that while the brand's core community is highly engaged with its existing beer styles, the shandy line offers a critical entry point for consumers who do not traditionally drink beer.

The limited-edition shandy joins BERO's established core portfolio of non-alcoholic beers, which includes Kingston Golden Pils, Noon Wheat, Edge Hill Hazy IPA, and Double Tasty West Coast Style IPA. The brand's core products maintain national retail distribution through Target, Kroger, Publix, and Erewhon.
