Nutrabolt brand C4 Energy has expanded its functional beverage portfolio into non-alcoholic alternative profiles with the introduction of All Hopped Up, an energy drink formulated to replicate the flavour notes of light beer.
The SKU combines the sensory profile of a crisp lager with the functional ingredient blend of the brand’s core energy line, targeting social and daytime refreshment occasions where consumers seek the taste of beer without alcohol.
The beverage is scheduled to launch on TikTok Shop and Amazon on 23 September, ahead of direct-to-consumer availability via C4’s e-commerce platform on 30 September. Packaged in 16-ounce (473ml) cans, the product carries a suggested retail price of $14.99 for a six-pack.
Formulation and Functional Performance
All Hopped Up is formulated with hop-forward flavour notes balanced by a splash of orange citrus, designed to mimic an easy-drinking craft or light lager while remaining completely alcohol-free at 0.0% ABV.
In contrast to conventional brewing processes used for non-alcoholic beers, which involve fermentation followed by de-alcoholisation or arrested fermentation, the product is formulated as a functional carbonated energy drink:
Energy and Focus: Each 16-ounce can supplies 200 milligrams of caffeine alongside vitamin B12 to support mental alertness and endurance.
Performance Amino Acids: The formulation incorporates trademarked active ingredients, including CarnoSyn beta-alanine and BetaPower betaine.
Clean-Label Nutrition: The drink contains zero sugar, zero calories, and zero fat, and is manufactured without artificial colours.
Cross-Category Innovation
The launch marks an unconventional flavour extension for C4 Energy, which has historically centred its product portfolio on sweet confectionery partnerships, fruity varieties, and candy collaborations.
By merging the flavour profile of traditional malt and hop beverages with high-caffeine functional nutrition, Nutrabolt positions All Hopped Up across overlapping consumer demand spaces. The beverage targets sports tailgating, festival environments, and daytime social gatherings, serving as an alternative to both standard non-alcoholic lagers and conventional RTD energy drinks.
The concept reflects broadening cross-category experimentation within functional beverages, where manufacturers increasingly explore savoury, bitter, and botanical flavour systems to recruit adult consumers seeking alternatives to high-sugar or dessert-inspired profiles.
Rollout and Distribution
Nutrabolt is adopting a digital-first commercial strategy for the initial rollout of All Hopped Up.
The product will debut through social commerce and online marketplace channels on 23 September, leveraging C4's presence across TikTok Shop alongside Amazon. The company will expand sales to its dedicated webstore on 30 September, evaluating initial velocity data ahead of potential wider retail distribution across convenience and grocery accounts.
