Plant-based dairy alternative brand Ripple Foods has expanded its early-childhood nutrition portfolio with the launch of Ripple Toddler Plant-Based Milk, a shelf-stable beverage formulated specifically for children aged 12 to 36 months.
The product debut establishes a dedicated plant-based milk alternative positioned directly within the baby food and infant care category rather than standard refrigerated dairy aisles. The line has rolled out nationwide under an exclusive retail distribution agreement with Walmart, listed in physical baby aisles and across Walmart's online platform.
"We've seen how strongly Ripple Kids resonates with families looking for protein-forward, allergen-friendly nutrition," said Becky O'Grady, Chief Executive Officer of Ripple Foods. "Ripple Toddler allows us to support families even earlier, with nutrition designed for this important stage and a shelf-stable format that can go wherever their day takes them."
Available in four-packs of 8-fluid-ounce (approx. 237ml) cartons at a suggested retail price (MSRP) of $8.96, the range enters the market with two initial varieties:
🥛 Original: A lightly sweetened formulation designed to deliver balanced dietary energy and essential nutrients during the post-infancy transition.
🌿 Unsweetened Original: A zero-added-sugar variety formulated for parents seeking unsweetened dietary profiles for early childhood feeding regimens.
Nutrition and Allergen Controls
The toddler formulation is engineered to address the specific metabolic and developmental requirements of children transitioning from infant formula or breast milk to solid foods and liquid dietary staples.
Each 8-ounce serving incorporates 8 grams of yellow pea protein alongside key micronutrients:
Cognitive Development: Fortified with marine-derived DHA omega-3 fatty acids and choline to assist neurological and brain development.
Skeletal Support: Formulated to supply 60% of the recommended daily intake of bioavailable calcium.
Digestive Health: Incorporates prebiotic dietary fibre to promote microbiome balance and healthy digestive regularity.
Allergen-Free Composition: Formulated without the top nine commercial food allergens, certified dairy-free, nut-free, soy-free, gluten-free, lactose-free, and 100% vegan.

Ambient Packaging
A significant operational attribute of the new range is its aseptic, shelf-stable packaging format.
Unlike traditional refrigerated milk cartons, the 8-ounce single-serve units require no chilling prior to consumption, remaining stable at ambient temperatures until opened. The packaging format targets household convenience, transportability for daycare routines, and reduced supply chain wastage compared to short-dated chilled alternatives.
By merchandising the range in Walmart's dedicated Baby Aisle alongside infant formula, toddler snacks, and feeding accessories, Ripple Foods circumvents conventional refrigerated dairy fixtures. This targeted retail placement aligns the brand directly with primary grocery shoppers at the exact commercial touchpoint where early childhood nutrition decisions are made.
