Rich Products has expanded its commercial beverage portfolio with the launch of Rich's Beverage Solutions Protein Syrup, introducing a shelf-stable liquid modifier designed for foodservice operators.

Formulated with collagen peptides and amino acids, the neutral-profile syrup delivers 15 grams of protein per single fluid ounce (approx. 30ml) pump. The commercial solution is engineered to integrate across hot, iced, blended, and frozen drink builds, enabling hospitality and cafe operators to add functional macronutrients to existing menu items without altering flavour profiles or adding operational friction at the bar station.

The launch responds to accelerating consumer demand for functional, personalised beverages across quick-service, casual dining, and speciality coffee channels, providing operators with a method to increase average order values and expand all-day beverage snacking dayparts.

"Beverage continues to be a strategic and important platform for innovation, personalisation, and growth," said Alyssa Barrett, Senior Customer Marketing Manager at Rich Products.

"Consumers want beverages that deliver on taste while offering benefits that fit their individual needs. Rich's Protein Syrup gives restaurant operators a simple way to add customizable protein enhancements to beverages already on the menu, helping increase ticket sizes, create new snacking occasions and drive incremental revenue without adding significant operational complexity."

Liquid Formulation and Sensory Architecture

Integrating functional protein into commercial drink programmes often introduces technical challenges, including powdery settling, unpalatable chalkiness, or emulsion separation when exposed to high heat or acidic bases.

Rich's Beverage Solutions Protein Syrup circumvents these formulation barriers through a soluble liquid matrix:

Protein Loading: Delivers 15 grams of protein per single fluid-ounce pump.

Protein Source: Formulated from hydrolysed collagen peptides enriched with essential amino acids.

Neutral Flavour Integration: Engineered to blend cleanly without imparting unwanted savoury notes, residual bitterness, or textural graininess.

Thermal and Acid Stability: Performs uniformly across steaming coffees, acidic lemonades, cold refreshers, and icy blended smoothies without curdling or phase separation.

Because the formulation dissolves into liquid bases with minimal agitation, counter staff can fortify drinks simply by pumping and stirring, eliminating the need for measuring scoops, pre-blending routines, or dedicated blender sanitation between orders.

Packaging Architecture and Operational Back-of-House Fit

The packaging format is engineered specifically for standard foodservice syrup stations, mirroring the operational footprint of conventional flavouring syrups:

Bottle Specification: Merchandised in 32.9-fluid-ounce bottles fitted with a dedicated dispensing pump that yields 32 standardised portions.

Storage and Footprint: Ambient and shelf-stable, requiring no refrigerated back-of-house storage or cold-counter well space.

Shelf Life: Carries an unopened ambient shelf life of 365 days, maintaining stability for 30 days at room temperature once opened.

Case Configuration: Shipped in four-bottle master cases calibrated for high-turnover beverage dispensing programmes.

Functional Customisation

The product introduction aligns with rising consumer interest in protein-fortified foods and personalised wellness refreshments.

According to market research from Datassential cited by the manufacturer, 64% of consumers actively seek out foods and beverages with added protein. Furthermore, data indicates that 80% of Gen Z and Millennial consumers express interest in adding at least one functional enhancement to their drink orders.

By offering a neutral, liquid pump format, Rich Products enables operators to capitalise on functional beverage upcharges across everyday menu categories, from morning espresso drinks to afternoon iced teas, without committing capital expenditure to bespoke kitchen machinery or complicating speed of service.
