Wiltshire-based sauce manufacturer Potts has expanded its culinary portfolio with the introduction of five globally inspired cooking pastes packaged in recyclable aluminium tubes.

Scheduled to launch across retail channels in October 2026, the 100g paste format is formulated specifically for air fryer cooking, grilling, and marinades, entering the market with a recommended retail price of £3.00.

The development targets expanding consumer reliance on benchtop cooking appliances, supported by market data indicating that 65% of UK households currently own an air fryer, representing £18.3 billion in domestic appliance expenditure since 2007. Citing industry research from McKinsey identifying "effort reduction" as an emerging driver within convenience dining, the range is positioned to bridge scratch cooking preparation with rapid meal delivery.

Five World Cuisine Formulations

The line features five regionally influenced recipes engineered for high flavour intensity and seasoning layering:

Japanese Teriyaki: Formulated with miso, tamari, and ginger to deliver umami notes for air fryer and grilling applications.

South Indian Tandoori: Blended with chilli and Kerala masala spices to provide heat and colour for roasted and grilled proteins.

Mexican Honey & Chipotle: Pairs smoky chipotle chillies with honey sweetness for poultry and vegetable glazes.

Lebanese Shawarma: Seasoned with traditional za'atar herbs and aromatic spices developed for shawarma-style air-fried dishes.

Korean BBQ: Combines fermented gochujang paste with rice wine to recreate savoury, tangy barbecue profiles.

Each paste is formulated with natural ingredients and free from artificial additives, allowing home cooks to coat ingredients prior to cooking or build layered sauces during preparation.

The collection departs from conventional glass jars and multi-layer plastic pouches by utilising 100% recyclable aluminium tubes with resealable caps. The squeezable packaging allows portion control and reduces food waste by extending refrigerated shelf life after opening.

By introducing dedicated air fryer pastes into ambient cooking sauce fixtures, Potts aims to capture basket spend from time-conscious consumers seeking shortcut scratch cooking solutions without compromising flavour complexity.

The five-SKU range will be available through retail stockists and directly via Potts' online platform starting in October 2026.
