Little Bites, produced by Bimbo Bakeries USA, has introduced a new Mystery Muffin SKU across US grocery retail channels alongside an interactive consumer activation titled the "Little Bites Mystery Flavour Contest."

Carrying a suggested retail price (SRP) of US$5.69, the soft-baked poppable muffin features a secret flavour profile, entering mass retail sets ahead of the back-to-school lunchbox shopping window.

The product introduction pairs new flavour innovation with social media-led gamification, seeking to drive store-level velocity, brand engagement, and digital community participation among family demographics.

Campaign and Contest Mechanics

To support the product rollout, Little Bites is executing a two-week digital activation across its primary social platforms, Instagram and TikTok.

From 19 August through 2 September 2026, consumers are invited to submit imaginative flavour name suggestions in the comments section of official campaign posts. Following the initial submission phase, the brand will host three fan-voted, bracket-style elimination rounds to narrow down finalist submissions before revealing the official winning name on 1 October 2026.

The grand prize for the selected naming winner includes a branded experiential visit from the Little Bites Mystery Muffin Van, party entertainment, and product stock for a personal celebration.

Rielly Whims, Brand Manager for Little Bites, stated that the contest was designed to bring families together during snack time routines while encouraging creative engagement around the brand's new product profile.
Annie Meehan, Senior Director of Marketing for Little Bites, added that the campaign seeks to capture moments of everyday joy and imagination associated with portion-controlled family snacking.

Gamified Snacking and Retail

The introduction of a mystery flavour profile reflects a broader trend across the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector, where brand owners deploy secret formulations, interactive social polls, and crowdsourced naming campaigns to convert standard snack purchasing into a two-way engagement channel.

By encouraging consumers to guess and vote on flavour notes, the manufacturer aims to generate repeat purchasing across grocery stockists as shoppers participate in testing and naming the new SKU.

Key commercial and packaging specifications of the release include:

🧁 Mystery Flavour Profile: A soft-baked mini muffin formulated with an undisclosed sweet flavour profile.

šŸ“¦ Portion-Controlled Packaging:Ā Packaged in standard multi-pouch retail cartons formatted for back-to-school lunchboxes and quick-consumption occasions.

šŸ’µ Retail Pricing:Ā Distributed nationwide across US grocery retailers at a suggested retail price of US$5.69.
