Land O'Lakes has expanded its retail portfolio with the commercial rollout of Land O Lakes Snack Cheese Cubes alongside an expanded retail deployment of its pre-sliced Deli American into dairy cases nationwide.
The dual commercial push enters grocery channels ahead of the back-to-school trading period, addressing growing consumer demand for pre-portioned snacks and deli-style convenience within self-service refrigerated dairy aisles.
Single Serve Snack Cheese Lineup
The new Snack Cheese Cubes range is formatted to support portion-controlled snacking and lunchbox preparation for active households. Packaged as eight 1-ounce single-serve portions per unit, the product carries a suggested retail price (MSRP) of US$5.99.
The bite-sized snack range enters commercial distribution across three core cheese flavour variations:
🧀 Colby Jack: A mild, creamy blended cheese formulated for daily snacking.
🌶️ Pepper Jack: A zesty Monterey jack variant infused with peppers for a spicy profile.
🧀 Extra Sharp White Cheddar: An aged white cheddar delivering a rich, distinct flavour profile.
Initial retail distribution for the cube line encompasses major grocery stockists across the US Northeast, securing listings with retail partners including Stop & Shop, Price Chopper, and Giant stores.

Distribution across Kroger Stores
Concurrently, Land O'Lakes is expanding the physical footprint of its pre-sliced Deli American range (MSRP: US$4.49) into the refrigerated dairy cases of select Kroger stores nationwide.
The distribution expansion bypasses traditional deli counter service friction, placing pre-sliced American cheese directly into high-traffic self-service dairy sections. The pre-portioned format is engineered to deliver melt consistency and convenience for home meal preparation, including burgers, grilled sandwiches, and lunches.
Heather Anfang, Executive Vice-President and President of Dairy Foods at Land O'Lakes, stated that product development and channel expansion focus on delivering consistent quality and convenience to match modern eating habits and routines.
Convenience for Cheese
The dual rollout highlights ongoing merchandising strategies across the US dairy aisle, where brand owners are migrating traditional deli-counter products into self-service packaged sets to drive stock turnover and basket frequency.
By combining single-serve snack formats with pre-sliced deli staples, the cooperative aims to strengthen brand presence across morning lunchbox preparation, afternoon snacking, and evening meal occasions throughout the autumn trading window.
