To drive physical footprint traffic and accelerate digital channel engagement, the retailer is supporting the product launch with a large-scale promotional campaign. On Friday 19 June 2026, the company will distribute 100,000 free pints of ice cream through its proprietary digital coupon database, timed to capitalise on peak consumer demand ahead of the summer solstice on 21 June.

According to Ann Reed, Group Vice President of Our Brands at Kroger, the company has scaled its annual summer solstice promotion to increase shopper frequency and brand loyalty in the frozen category. By expanding the giveaway to 100,000 pints, the grocery chain is elevating its customer-acquisition efforts through a unified digital-to-physical experience.
