Quick-service bakery chain Krispy Kreme has announced the rollout of its new Destination Dessert Collection, introducing three limited-time offerings (LTOs) inspired by traditional Latin American dessert profiles.
Scheduled for commercial availability starting Tuesday 28 July 2026, the collection represents the latest execution in the brand's global flavour innovation strategy, following previous seasonal activations focused on European dessert profiles from France and Italy.
The promotional release aims to capture rising consumer interest in regional and international confectionery profiles while driving summer store footfall and digital order-ahead volume across domestic and international markets.
Latin American Inspired
The new collection translates three established Latin American culinary formats—tres leches cake, guava cheesecake, and chocotorta—into Krispy Kreme's core shell doughnut architecture.
The three newly introduced SKU variants include:
🍰 Tres Leches-Inspired Doughnut: An unglazed yeast shell filled with tres leches-flavoured Kreme, finished with sweet cream-flavoured buttercream, cake doughnut crumbs, and ground cinnamon.
🌺 Guava Cheesecake Doughnut: An unglazed yeast shell filled with a combination of cheesecake Kreme and fruit guava filling, dipped in guava icing and topped with crunch pieces and an icing drizzle.
🍫 Choco Dulce Cookie Crunch Doughnut: Inspired by the traditional Argentine chocotorta, featuring an unglazed shell filled with chocolate dulce cookie Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing with chocolate cookie crumbles, and finished with dulce de leche buttercream.
Alison Holder, Chief Brand and Product Officer at Krispy Kreme, stated that the development strategy focused on reimagining recognisable regional dessert concepts into handheld bakery formats to offer consumers limited-edition flavour choices during the summer trading period.
Where Are They Available?
To drive transaction volume across physical and digital channels, Krispy Kreme is integrating the Destination Dessert Collection across its full ordering infrastructure:
In-Shop Purchase: Available individually or in dozen configurations across participating company-owned and franchise locations.
Digital Channels: Order-ahead functionality integrated into the Krispy Kreme mobile application and direct-to-consumer e-commerce website for both pickup and home delivery.
Limited-Time Availability: Positioned as a short-run seasonal LTO designed to generate consumer urgency and maintain menu agility without adding permanent operational complexity.
The launch aligns with broader quick-service restaurant (QSR) bakery trends, where international flavour inspiration and targeted LTO cycles serve as primary levers to increase average ticket size and stimulate repeat consumer visits.
