High Liner Foods Incorporated has announced the commercial rollout of its new Sea Cuisine Skillet Meals across select US grocery stores. The release introduces three globally inspired, one-pan seafood meal solutions engineered to prepare in 15 minutes.

First previewed at Seafood Expo North America, the product line expands High Liner Foods' retail presence by targeting consumer demand for convenient, high-protein meal options in the frozen aisle.

Product Lineup and Flavours

The initial Sea Cuisine Skillet Meals platform features three complete multi-serve options formulated with responsibly sourced seafood:

šŸ‹ Mediterranean-Style Sole Pasta:Ā Wild-caught sole combined with penne pasta, roasted yellow and red peppers, and diced tomatoes in a lemon caper sauce, delivering 22g of protein per serving.

šŸ› Thai Red Curry Salmon:Ā Wild-caught salmon paired with snap peas, red bell peppers, carrots, and brown rice in a Thai red curry sauce, offering 19g of protein per serving.

šŸŒ¶ļø Chilli Garlic Shrimp:Ā Premium shrimp with chow mein noodles, broccoli, red peppers, and carrots in a chilli garlic sauce, supplying 15g of protein per serving.

Addressing Frozen Category Gaps

The introduction addresses a structural lack of protein variety in the frozen multi-serve segment, where traditional poultry and beef SKUs represent approximately 70 per cent of top-selling products.

Consumer research cited by the manufacturer indicates that 64 per cent of frozen meal buyers report being only somewhat satisfied with current market offerings. Furthermore, purchasing data highlights that 75 per cent of consumers seek meal solutions ready in 15 minutes or less, while 45 per cent prefer single-dish, zero-preparation formats.

Anthony Rasetta, Chief Commercial Officer at High Liner Foods, stated that the Skillet Meals range is designed to expand options within the frozen aisle by delivering restaurant-style seafood meals that meet consumer preferences for quick preparation and high protein content.

Retail Availability

Sea Cuisine Skillet Meals have commenced distribution across select US supermarket networks, with broader North American retail expansion planned for subsequent phases.
