GrubMarket, a leading AI-powered enabler of the American food supply chain, has announced the appointment of Jorge deNeve as Chief Legal Officer. The strategic hire is intended to bolster the company's executive leadership team as it continues to expand its global eCommerce and technology operations.

DeNeve brings over two decades of high-level experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and securities law, joining from the international law firm O'Melveny & Myers LLP.

Executive Profile and Background

Jorge deNeve's career is distinguished by significant roles in both private practice and federal regulation.

  • Legal Practice: As a partner at O'Melveny & Myers, he advised global corporations on complex legal strategies, litigation, risk management, and disclosure practices.

  • Regulatory Experience: Earlier in his career, deNeve served as an enforcement attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), gaining first-hand insight into regulatory expectations and enforcement priorities.

  • Recognition: His expertise has been widely recognised, including recent accolades such as being named in Lawdragon's 2025 "500 Global Leaders in Crisis Management" and "The Best Lawyers in America® 2026" for securities litigation.

Strategic Mandate

In his new capacity at GrubMarket, deNeve will oversee the entire legal function. His mandate focuses on establishing rigorous standards for governance, compliance, and operational excellence. This infrastructure is critical as GrubMarket scales its software, AI capabilities, and physical food supply chain logistics.

Jorge deNeve commented on his new role: "Drawing on my experience as a partner at O'Melveny advising companies and as an enforcement attorney at the SEC, I look forward to supporting GrubMarket's mission to transform the food supply chain through technology and AI... I am eager to partner with the leadership team to help strengthen the legal and governance foundations that enable long-term innovation, responsible growth, and operational excellence."

Mike Xu, CEO of GrubMarket, highlighted the value of deNeve's dual background: "Jorge brings exceptional legal expertise and a deep understanding of governance and regulatory best practices. His experiences as a partner at OMM and as a former SEC enforcement attorney uniquely position him to help GrubMarket continue to build durable systems and processes, maintain high operational standards, and support our long-term vision."
