Global metal packaging manufacturer Ball Corporation has announced senior leadership appointments across two of its primary commercial divisions, naming Carey Causey as Senior Vice President and President of Beverage Packaging North and Central America, and Scott Vail as Senior Vice President and President of Beverage Packaging Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Causey assumes her new regional post effective immediately, succeeding Kathleen Pitre. Vail will take over executive leadership of the EMEA beverage division effective January 2027, succeeding Mandy Glew, who has elected to retire from the business. Ball confirmed that the departures are not related to any disagreements with the company.
In their incoming posts, Causey and Vail will hold direct responsibility for key customer relationships, manufacturing execution, commercial supply agreements, and financial performance across their respective territories, reporting directly into executive leadership as the group continues to focus on disciplined operational execution and supply chain optimisation.
"Carey and Scott are the right leaders to take these two important business units forward," said Ron Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of Ball Corporation. "They both have proven track records, deep commercial and operational experience, and leadership values aligned with Ball's. I am confident they will build on the strong foundations in each region, deepen our customer partnerships and deliver results."
Lewis added: "We thank Mandy and Kathleen for their leadership and many contributions to Ball. Both have played important roles in our business and have had a significant impact, and we wish them well."

Carey Causey Beverage Packaging North and Central America
Causey returns to operational regional leadership after serving as Ball's Senior Vice President and Chief Growth Officer since 2024.
Since joining Ball in 2014, Causey has accumulated extensive commercial and management experience across North and Central America, South America, and EMEA, directing commercial operations, marketing, enterprise strategy, and business development. Notably, she previously served as President of Beverage Packaging EMEA between 2021 and 2024, providing her with cross-regional perspective on aluminium packaging demand cycles.
Prior to joining Ball Corporation, Causey built a technical and commercial background across sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing roles at MWV (MeadWestvaco), crop nutrition producer The Mosaic Company, and agribusiness conglomerate Cargill, Inc.

Scott Vail Beverage Packaging EMEA
Vail transitions into the EMEA regional presidency following his tenure as Ball's Senior Vice President and Chief Supply Chain and Operations Officer, a position he has held since 2025.
In his enterprise supply chain role, Vail oversaw Ball's global manufacturing network, logistics footprint, procurement operations, and continuous improvement frameworks. He initially joined the packaging group in 2021 as Vice President of Operations for Beverage Packaging North and Central America, later spearheading the group-wide implementation of the Ball Operational Excellence programme.
Vail brings extensive brewing and can-manufacturing expertise to the EMEA division. Before his arrival at Ball, he served as President of Metal Container Corporation (MCC), the can-manufacturing subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch, and held several senior technical positions across engineering, plant maintenance, and operations strategy at AB InBev.
