Seed-based snack producer Go Raw has earned verification under the independent Non-UPF Certification programme for its Organic Sea Salt Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds.
Launched by the non-profit Non-GMO Project, the Non-UPF (Non-Ultra-Processed Food) Verified standard provides independent verification for products manufactured without excessive processing, artificial additives, or synthetic formulations.
The accreditation marks an initial milestone in Go Raw's strategy to secure Non-UPF Verification across its full product portfolio, reinforcing its clean-label positioning across US mass and grocery retail networks.
Independent Verification and Clean Label Formulation
The certification provides third-party validation for Go Raw's processing standards, which rely on sprouting, drying, and minimal ingredient decks rather than high-heat industrial processing or synthetic additives.
Key attributes and specifications of the verified product line include:
🎃 Simple Ingredient Deck: Formulated using organic sprouted pumpkin seeds and sea salt without added oils, artificial preservatives, or synthetic additives.
🌱 Triple Certification Standard: Holds Non-UPF Verification alongside established USDA Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified certifications.
📦 Front-of-Pack Verification Seal: Refreshed packaging incorporating the official Non-UPF Verified mark on primary display panels.
Peter Grumhaus, Chief Executive Officer of Go Raw, stated that securing the verification confirms the manufacturing and ingredient standards the business has maintained for over two decades. Grumhaus added that as consumer discussions around ultra-processed foods become more prominent, clear independent benchmarks help establish trust across retail channels.
Packaging Refresh and Retail Rollout
Updated packaging featuring the Non-UPF Verified seal will begin rolling out to retail stockists from November 2026.
The packaging refresh aligns with "Uncomplicate Snacking," the enterprise's inaugural national brand marketing campaign designed to highlight minimally processed foods and simple ingredient profiles.
The verification offers retail buyers and CPG stakeholders a benchmark for evaluating non-ultra-processed options in the functional seed and savoury snack categories.
