Ferrero North America has launched its 2026 seasonal campaign centred on the adult confectionery market, partnering with reality television personality Alicia Carmody of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island to promote its 'Adultoween' initiative.
The campaign seeks to engage older consumer demographics during the autumn trading period, supported by findings from Ferrero’s annual consumer research indicating that 54% of American adults believe they deserve a dedicated adult Halloween night, while 62% view Halloween as an occasion intended as much for adults as children.
The initiative connects social media activations and digital consumer competitions with the group's wider seasonal retail portfolio, which includes seasonal formats across Ferrero's chocolate, biscuit, and countline brands.
Adult Demographic in Seasonal Confectionery
Historically anchored around children's trick-or-treating occasions, the confectionery sector is seeing seasonal demand broaden into adult gatherings, personal indulgence, and domestic decorating rituals.
Ferrero has structured its Adultoween platform around consumer insight data tracking the spending patterns of adult shoppers during the fourth quarter. The confectioner is running its third consecutive Adultoween consumer survey to assess shifts in seasonal purchasing habits, with full quantitative findings scheduled for publication in October 2026.
"Adultoween started as an insight the Ferrero Group discovered and has grown into a cultural movement," said Chad Stubbs, Chief Marketing Officer at Ferrero North America. "We're excited to see where this year's trends land and how they'll shape the way we engage and show up for our fans in bigger and better ways this Halloween and beyond."
Influencer Engagement and Marketing
Under the commercial collaboration, Carmody is fronting social-led promotional content across her digital channels, showcasing home decorating concepts incorporating Ferrero confectionery lines alongside interactive review formats.
The campaign encourages digital interaction by inviting consumers to share their seasonal perspectives and decorative displays for entry into branded product giveaways, maintaining brand touchpoints across social platforms throughout September and October.
