Finnish food manufacturer Fazer is expanding its Fazer Alku breakfast line-up with the nationwide launch of seven new products. Scheduled to enter retail networks on 1 August 2026, the product rollout includes five single-serving instant porridge flavours, a high-fibre honey granola, and a whole grain oat pillow cereal containing no added sugar.

The new product launches are designed to meet growing consumer demand for convenient, health-conscious breakfast and snacking options that do not compromise on functional nutritional value.

Portfolio Expansion and Market First Sugar Free Cereal

The cornerstone of Fazer Alku's autumn launch is the introduction of the Oat Pillows Whole Grain Oat Cereal. Formulated with 91 per cent whole grain oats, the product enters the market as the only oat pillow cereal featuring zero added sugar.

Designed as a low-sugar option suitable for multi-generational household consumption, the product is manufactured at Fazer's dedicated mill in Sweden. It is packaged in a large-format 500g value pack to satisfy retail demands for longer-lasting household staples.

Alongside the cereal, Fazer is launching its Granola with Honey in a 375g format. Produced at the company’s mill in Lahti, Finland, the granola combines roasted whole grain oat flakes with multigrain cereals and natural honey. The packaging features a integrated pouring spout designed to improve retail shelf appeal and consumer convenience.

Single Serving Instant Porridge Portfolio

To address the growing consumer demand for portable, on-the-go breakfast solutions, Fazer Alku has reformulated and expanded its single-serving instant porridge range. Manufactured in Finland utilising domestic oats, the updated range introduces five distinct varieties:

🌾 Tastier + Fibre: Formulated with extra-thin whole grain oat flakes and added oat bran to support digestive function and assist in lowering cholesterol through naturally occurring beta-glucan. Vegan.

🍏 Baked Apple: Combines Finnish whole grain oats with dried apple pieces, ground cinnamon, and a minimal sugar base. Vegan.

🍫 White Chocolate & Blackcurrant: Features a premium blend of sweet white chocolate chunks and tart blackcurrant pieces with whole grain oats.

🍓 Strawberry & Apple + Protein: Formulated with plant-based protein, dried strawberries, and apple pieces to support muscle maintenance and daily energy requirements. Vegan.

🍬 Liquorice & Date: Blends full-bodied liquorice with sweet, dried date pieces to introduce non-traditional flavour profiles to the hot cereal category. Vegan.

Fazer Alku's product development strategy remains anchored in regional sourcing and strict quality certifications. All five of the new single-serving instant porridges and the honey granola carry the "Produced in Finland" (Hyvää Suomesta) origin label, verifying that the grain ingredients are grown and processed within Finland.
