De La Calle has announced the commercial launch of a limited-edition Spiced Pineapple Tepache in celebration of Día de los Muertos.

Brewed using the company's signature fermentation process, the seasonal limited-time offering (LTO) enters commercial distribution across the brand's established national footprint of more than 8,000 retail locations, including Whole Foods Market, alongside direct online channels.

The rollout pairs traditional regional fermentation craft with holiday-led seasonal merchandising, introducing a celebratory flavour profile to ambient and chilled functional beverage fixtures ahead of autumn cultural gatherings.

Fermentation and Flavour Profile

The limited-run release translates traditional Mexican street-market tepache brewing into an on-the-go single-serve can. Key product attributes and formulation specifications include:

🍍 Spiced Pineapple Profile: Combines fruit-forward pineapple with warm spices to deliver a balanced sweet-and-spiced profile.

🫧 Traditional Fermentation Base: Fermented through De La Calle's proprietary traditional brewing methods to achieve a tangy, naturally effervescent liquid finish.

Limited Seasonal Window: Positioned as an exclusive seasonal batch packaged in custom holiday artwork honouring the Día de los Muertos celebration.

Alex Matthews, Co-Founder of De La Calle, stated that Día de los Muertos centres on remembrance, celebration, and community, noting that the Spiced Pineapple Tepache serves as a tribute to the brand's regional roots, brewed according to traditional heritage methods for social and community occasions.

Cultural Marketing and Retail

The product release anchors a wider seasonal marketing platform executed by De La Calle to celebrate Día de los Muertos traditions.

Beyond the dedicated packaging release, the brand is deploying community and cultural programming across the season to build consumer awareness around traditional tepache craft and Mexican culinary heritage.

The seasonal release provides grocery multiples and natural food stockists with an authentic cultural LTO within the fermented beverage aisle:

National Distribution: Deployed across more than 8,000 physical retail stockists nationwide in the United States, including Whole Foods Market.

Digital Availability: Offered for nationwide direct-to-consumer delivery via the brand's online storefront.

Promotional Duration: Restricted to a short-run trading window while seasonal production inventories last.

By pairing traditional fermented beverage recipes with heritage-led seasonal themes, the brand continues to scale authentic Latin American beverage formats across mainstream US retail channels.
