Papa Johns has entered into an exclusive beverage partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), rolling out a portfolio of soft drinks across 430 restaurants throughout the United Kingdom.
The agreement replaces the chain's previous beverage dispense and packaged arrangements, introducing high-equity trademarks spanning carbonated soft drinks, still fruit juice drinks, and bottled waters. The rollout connects Papa Johns' pizza delivery and dine-in estate with CCEP's distribution infrastructure, category management capabilities, and cross-brand marketing pipeline.
The alliance arrives as quick-service restaurant (QSR) operators increasingly look to beverage attachments to protect transaction values and drive basket profitability, using recognised soft drink brands to capitalise on high-frequency evening meal and social gathering occasions.
"When people order pizza, the drink is an important part of the overall occasion. That's what makes this partnership such a natural fit," said Patrick Humphries, Associate Director On-Premise at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB.
"Our brands are enjoyed alongside food every day, and together Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Dr Pepper, Oasis and GLACÉAU Smartwater give consumers a fantastic range of soft drinks to choose from alongside their Papa Johns meal. We're really excited to work with the Papa Johns team to bring those brands and occasions together, creating an even stronger food and drink experience for customers while supporting growth for both businesses."
Brand Portfolio and Packaged Lines
Under the new supply agreement, Papa Johns will stock CCEP's carbonated and still beverage brands across its digital app, website, and in-restaurant chillers:
🥤 Coca-Cola Trademark: Core colas comprising original Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.
🍊 Fanta: Fruit-flavoured carbonated soft drinks, anchoring the fruit carbonates offering.
🍋 Sprite: Lemon-lime sparkling soda, offering a crisp, caffeine-free alternative.
🍒 Dr Pepper: Distinct spiced sparkling cola-adjacent soft drink.
🧃 Oasis: Non-carbonated fruit juice drinks tailored for lunch and family dining bundles.
💧 GLACÉAU Smartwater: Vapour-distilled bottled water with added electrolytes.
"Great pizza deserves great drinks, which is why we're delighted to be partnering with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners," said Rebecca Carroll, Senior Marketing Director at Papa Johns.
"Bringing together our commitment to quality with some of the world's most recognisable drinks brands strengthens the overall Papa Johns experience and gives our customers more reasons to choose us. What's particularly exciting is the potential beyond the portfolio itself. Through innovation, marketing and the strength of the combined brands, we have a real opportunity to create more compelling customer experiences and unlock new opportunities for growth."
