The Coca-Cola Company has previewed an extensive pipeline of new product launches and line extensions across its North American beverage portfolio ahead of the 2026 NACS Show in Las Vegas, taking place from 7 to 9 October.
The forthcoming innovations span carbonated soft drinks, sports hydration, functional waters, premium sparkling water, and ready-to-drink dairy protein. The pipeline features a regional test-and-learn pilot for prebiotic sodas, the introduction of the first new Core Power protein shake flavour in nearly a decade, and several flavour additions scheduled to roll out through 2027.
The commercial roadmap highlights ongoing shifts in beverage consumption habits, where consumers increasingly balance conventional refreshment occasions with lower sugar, enhanced electrolytes, dietary fibre, and protein delivery across multiple daytime routines.
"What people want from their beverages continues to evolve, from new flavours and experiences to added functionality," said Shakir Moin, President of Marketing, North America at The Coca-Cola Company. "The breadth of our portfolio gives us an incredible opportunity to meet those changing needs and give people more choices for more moments throughout their day."
Prebiotic and Carbonated Soft Drink Innovations
A central development within the group's sparkling portfolio is an upcoming regional pilot evaluating functional fibre integration within established zero-sugar formulations.
Beginning in late October 2026, Coca-Cola will launch a regional test-and-learn trial across select markets in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The pilot will feature Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Sprite Zero Sugar, and Fresca, each formulated with 6 grammes of prebiotic dietary fibre per serving while retaining a zero-sugar nutritional profile. The company will use the regional rollout to evaluate consumer uptake and operational performance in the emerging functional and prebiotic soda segment.
In parallel, the brand owner is introducing seasonal and permanent flavour variations across its core carbonated platforms:
🍒 Coca-Cola Cherry Lime: Launching in February 2027, the permanent variant pairs classic cherry notes with a citrus lime twist to target younger consumer flavour preferences.
🍓 Coca-Cola Strawberry Float: Scheduled for a summer 2027 debut, blending core Coca-Cola with sweet strawberry and creamy vanilla dessert notes.
🫐 Mr. Pibb Black-Currant: A limited-time offering launching in spring 2027, combining blackberry and blackcurrant notes with 54mg of caffeine.
Active Hydration and Fortified Waters
Within sports and performance hydration, the group is expanding its low-calorie and zero-sugar offerings across POWERADE, BODYARMOR, and vitaminwater to cater to active lifestyle dayparts.
The hydration lineup additions include:
🍉 POWERADE Zero Sugar: Introducing Watermelon and Lemon Lime Zero Sugar variants in January 2027 to expand calorie-free electrolyte choices.
⚡ BODYARMOR FIT: A sparkling zero-sugar sports beverage packaged in cans, supplying 290mg of electrolytes, 60mg of caffeine, choline, and green tea extract. Launched nationally earlier this year, the range spans five fruit-forward varieties.
🍇 vitaminwater Zero Sugar Formula 100: Debuting in March 2027 with a Grape flavour profile, providing 100% of the recommended daily value of vitamins C, E, B3, B5, B6, and B12.
The additions aim to strengthen the company's presence across high-frequency sports recovery, daily hydration, and afternoon energy occasions.
Premium Topo Chico
The company is also accelerating growth within its premium sparkling mineral and carbonated water operations under the Topo Chico masterbrand.
Entering retail distribution in October 2026, Topo Chico Colección debuts as a premium carbonated filtered water formulated with signature minerals to emulate the effervescence of the heritage brand.
Following the Colección launch, the brand will expand its fruit-flavoured sparkling portfolio in February 2027:
🍍 Topo Chico Sabores Pineapple Coconut: A tropical line extension joining the brand’s fruit-forward filtered sparkling water assortment.
Protein Nutrition with fairlife
In the functional dairy sector, value-added milk brand fairlife is nearing $4 billion in annual retail sales while maintaining double-digit compound growth.
Supported by that momentum, the brand's Core Power high-protein ready-to-drink shake line is introducing its first new flavour profile in nearly ten years:
🍌 Core Power Banana: Arriving in January 2027 across both standard 26-gramme and elite 42-gramme protein configurations.
🍓 Core Power Strawberry: Joining the 26-gramme protein lineup in January 2027 to expand everyday fruit flavours in post-workout recovery.
