Co-op has announced an expanded own-label product lineup for Halloween 2026, introducing a series of seasonal bakery items, savoury snacks, and sub-£1 confectionery lines.
Designed to capture increased demand across trick-or-treating, social gatherings, and at-home family snacking, the range introduces new novelty formulations alongside returning seasonal favourites.
The rollout is timed to leverage calendar positioning, with Halloween falling on a Saturday in 2026, creating an expanded commercial window for convenience retailers to capture impulse purchases and last-minute party entertaining spend.
Own-Label and Flavour Portfolio
The 2026 Halloween collection introduces seven new own-label stock-keeping units (SKUs) across ambient bakery, sugar confectionery, and extruded savoury snacks.

🪱 Frightfully Fizzy Worms: A 130g bag of sour-coated jelly worms retailing at 90p, commencing distribution on 2 September 2026.
🍏 Sticky Toffee Apple Flapjacks: A 20-pack sharing carton formulated with toffee apple flavour notes, offered at £3.00 and arriving in stores on 30 September 2026.
🧀 Cheesy Monster Jaws: A 100g sharing pack of crunchy cheese-flavoured puffed snacks retailing at £1.30, available from 30 September 2026.
🍩 Spooky Sour Slime Doughnuts: A four-pack bakery offering filled with sour apple fruit filling, finished with purple icing and decorative sugar strands.

The product platform aims to capture market share within the UK seasonal confectionery and bakery segments during peak autumn trading. According to NIQ retail data, UK value sales of chocolate and sugar confectionery reached £710.1 million in the four weeks leading up to 1 November 2025.
With Halloween falling on a weekend, the retailer is positioning its neighbourhood store estate to capture immediate impulse missions and social entertaining demand.
In addition to new product introductions, Co-op is reintroducing several established seasonal lines, including Haunted House Brownies, themed Trick or Treat Bags, and decorated cupcakes.
