7 Brew, the Arkansas-based drive-thru beverage company, has announced its official entry into the Ready-to-Drink (RTD) category. Starting March 14, the brand will begin rolling out a line of canned coffee beverages in Walmart locations across its home state of Arkansas. This move marks a significant shift in the company’s business model as it expands its footprint from service-based drive-thru stands to the competitive retail shelf.
Strategic Entry into the RTD Category
The debut lineup includes three 11-ounce canned espresso beverages inspired by the brand’s top-selling drive-thru menu items. The initial release features the Blondie Chilled Espresso Breve, the Brunette Brownie Chilled Espresso Mocha, and a Banana Bread Chilled Espresso Breve. Each product utilizes 100% Arabica espresso and real cream.
By entering the RTD space, 7 Brew is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the convenience coffee market. The canned format allows the brand to maintain consumer touchpoints outside of traditional operating hours and locations.
Walmart Partnership and Regional Rollout
The launch is supported by a strategic partnership with Walmart, which will serve as the exclusive initial retailer for the rollout. The products are priced at a retail point of $2.98 per can. While the initial distribution is focused on Arkansas, the partnership with a national retailer provides a clear infrastructure for potential future scaling into other regions where 7 Brew maintains a physical presence.
Chris Dawson, President of 7 Brew, noted that the transition to an RTD format is a primary strategy for meeting customers in new environments and extending the brand experience beyond the drive-thru model.
