Frozen food manufacturer Rosina Food Products has announced the expansion of its frozen meatball portfolio with the launch of five new varieties.
The lineup introduces the company's first-ever Mini Meatballs designed for children, alongside formulations offering higher protein content, lower sodium levels, gluten-free ingredients, and restaurant-inspired global flavour profiles.
Rooted in authentic Italian family recipes originating from founder Nonna Rose, the product extensions are engineered to provide versatile, convenient meal options for family dining and snacking occasions.
Five New Product Formulations
The expanded meatball platform introduces five distinct stock-keeping units (SKUs) tailored to diverse dietary preferences and meal formats:
👶 Mini Meatballs: Kid-friendly, bite-sized meatballs formulated with beef and pork without preservatives, developed for after-school snacks, pasta dishes, pizza toppings, and family meals.
🌶️ Bang-Bang Meatballs: Chicken meatballs inspired by restaurant flavour trends, balancing sweet chilli notes with mild heat while delivering 13 grams of protein per serving for rice bowls, stir-fries, soups, and appetisers.
💪 High Protein Meatballs: Made with a blend of beef, pork, and chicken, providing 18 grams of protein per serving to represent the highest protein offering in Rosina's portfolio.
🧀 Gluten-Free Restaurant Style Meatballs: A gluten-free adaptation of Rosina's restaurant-style recipe, formulated using beef, pork, and Romano cheese for pasta dishes, grain-free bowls, and vegetable-forward meals.
🧂 Reduced Sodium Meatballs: Made with tender beef and containing 50 per cent less sodium than Rosina Italian Style Meatballs, delivering 10 grams of protein per serving in a gluten-free format.
Recipe Development and Family Heritage
The new product introductions build upon the three-generation family heritage of Rosina Food Products, adapting the company's core recipes to address evolving household requirements.
Brian Muscarella, Corporate Chef at Rosina Food Products, stated that the development strategy focused on delivering options that solve varied mealtime demands, noting that the portfolio additions assist families seeking quick meal preparation, increased protein intake, dietary accommodations, and new flavour profiles without compromising on quality or taste.
