Primo Brands Corporation has opened a new 200,000-square-foot manufacturing and bottling facility in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to scale production for its premium spring water brand, The Mountain Valley.

The multi-million-dollar greenfield plant marks the company's first new manufacturing facility since the business was formed through the November 2024 merger of Primo Water Corporation and BlueTriton Brands. The investment is engineered to resolve production bottlenecks and support expanding national commercial demand across retail, on-premise dining, and direct-to-consumer delivery channels.

The facility introduces advanced bottling infrastructure, housing one high-speed retail production line and two large-format production lines, supported by dedicated on-site warehousing and distribution logistics space.

"The Mountain Valley grew because people found it, loved it, and told their friends," said Eric Foss, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Primo Brands. "When a brand earns that kind of loyalty, our job is to make sure there's enough of it to go around. We invest responsibly and strategically where growth is accelerating, and we're proud to do it in Hot Springs, where The Mountain Valley has been a part of the community for more than 150 years."

Manufacturing Infrastructure and Packaging Capabilities

The Hot Springs site integrates high-speed automated packaging machinery designed to accommodate The Mountain Valley’s distinct packaging mix:

High-Speed Retail Line: Dedicated to bottling spring and sparkling water into the brand’s signature green glass bottles and single-serve packaging formats for grocery and off-premise accounts.

Large-Format Production Lines: Two automated lines calibrated for filling and sanitising 2.5-gallon and 5-gallon returnable glass jugs, supporting the brand's commercial office and residential direct-delivery routes.

Logistics and Warehousing Hub: Centralised storage infrastructure integrated into Primo Brands' nationwide distribution grid, facilitating streamlined pallet movement and freight consolidation.

Bottled at the source in the Ouachita Mountains since 1871, The Mountain Valley water filters naturally through subterranean sandstone and shale strata, imparting a mineral profile that has established the brand across fine-dining restaurants, hospitality venues, and speciality food service.

In its financial results for the quarter ending 30 June, Primo Brands recorded net revenues of approximately $1.8 billion, representing a 3.8% increase year-on-year, driven primarily by volume expansion across its premium labels and regional natural spring waters.

Post-Merger Integration

The facility represents an operational milestone in the ongoing supply chain alignment following the consolidation of Primo Water and BlueTriton Brands.

The merged entity commands a coast-to-coast distribution network supplying more than 200,000 retail locations across the United States and Canada. In addition, the company oversees a direct bottle-exchange programme servicing roughly 26,500 retail partners alongside 23,500 self-service water refill kiosks.

By adding automated capacity at the source in Arkansas, Primo Brands aims to protect service levels for restaurant and on-premise accounts while expanding inventory allocation for national retail banners and subscription-based home and office delivery (HOD) customers.
