Product design and technology company SharkNinja, Inc. has announced its entry into the microwave category with the launch of the Ninja Crispi Microwave. This launch marks the brand's first-ever countertop microwave, designed to combine traditional microwave speed with integrated air-frying capabilities to prevent food from becoming soggy during reheating.
The appliance is part of a broader expansion of the company's cooking portfolio, which also includes the recently launched Ninja CRISPi DualZone air fryer and the upcoming Ninja MultiPot XL multicooker. The new range aims to address common consumer pain points regarding texture and heating uniformity in convenient cooking formats.
Product Technology and Design Features
The core mechanism behind the Ninja Crispi Microwave is its proprietary FusionCrisp Technology. This system first uses microwave energy to heat the food quickly, before automatically finishing the cooking process with superheated cyclonic air reaching up to 230°C (450°F). According to product specifications, this dual-action method prepares full meals up to 60 per cent faster than a conventional oven.
Key technical and design specifications of the microwave include:
Materials: The appliance features a 5.2-litre (5.5-quart) CleanCrisp glass basket that is completely free from PFAS and PTFE.
Capacity: A flatbed design provides 40 per cent more usable surface area than traditional turntables, allowing users to prepare meals for up to ten people.
Utility: The glass components are designed to be easily cleaned while offering visual monitoring of the cooking cycle.
Michaela Dubeau, Vice President of Product Development at Ninja, stated that the appliance was developed to eliminate the traditional trade-off between the speed of a microwave and the texture provided by conventional cooking methods.
Crispi and MultiPot
Alongside the microwave, SharkNinja is expanding its broader kitchen appliance line-up with two additional products utilising its dual-zone technology:
Ninja CRISPi DualZone: This appliance is a glass air fryer featuring two independent 3.8-litre (4-quart) zones, offering a total capacity of 7.6 litres (8 quarts). It incorporates six pre-programmed functions, including Air Fry, Bake, Dehydrate, Max Crisp, Roast, and Recrisp.
Ninja MultiPot XL 12-in-1 Multicooker: Scheduled for release later in the third quarter, this multicooker includes two independent 3.1-litre (3.3-quart) ceramic pots for dual-zone cooking, or a single 7.1-litre (7.5-quart) pot for larger batches. The 1,500-watt system features 12 functions, introducing options such as Sauté, Sous Vide, Stir Fry, and Hot Pot.
Market Availability and Pricing
The new appliances are being rolled out across SharkNinja's direct-to-consumer digital channels and select retail networks.
The Ninja Crispi Microwave is positioned at a suggested retail price of $449, whilst the Ninja CRISPi DualZone is available for $349.99. The Ninja MultiPot XL is scheduled to become available on 8 September with a retail price of $249.
