Nestlé Confectionery has announced its seasonal portfolio for Easter 2026, revealing a strategy heavily focused on textural complexity and visual differentiation. The new range sees the FMCG giant expanding its premium "Incredible Egg" tier and introducing novel formats across its KitKat, Aero, and Milkybar franchises to drive trade-up in the seasonal aisle.
The 2026 lineup is characterised by a move away from simple hollow shells towards products featuring "marbled" designs, heavy inclusions, and bakery-inspired flavour profiles.
KitKat Innovation: The 'Incredible' Expansion
The KitKat brand leads the innovation charge with four new SKUs designed to offer distinct sensory experiences.
Marbled Aesthetics: Two new KitKat Incredible Eggs feature a striking swirled design where the flavour is carried through the shell itself, available in Hazelnut and Salted Caramel variants.
Texture Focus: The KitKat Chunky Funky Incredible Egg targets the "crunch" demographic, incorporating chocolate biscuit pieces and crispy cornflakes directly into the shell.
Format Evolution: A new KitKat Crispy Egg introduces hidden crispy pieces within the shell, capitalising on the brand's wafer heritage.
Category Diversification: White Chocolate and Sugar
Beyond the core milk chocolate offering, Nestlé is bolstering its white chocolate and sugar confectionery propositions.
Milkybar: The new Milkybar Crispy Cookie Egg blends crunchy cookie pieces into a creamy white shell. This is supported by the Milkybar Easter Friends sharing bag, featuring moulded shapes (bunnies, butterflies, flowers) to capture the "sharing" occasion.
Rowntree’s: Addressing the non-chocolate segment, the Rowntree’s Egg-Venture sharing bag introduces limited-edition fruity shapes (avocado, dinosaur, mermaid), offering a playful alternative for the sugar confectionery shopper.
Flavour Trends: Bakery Profiles
The influence of the bakery category on confectionery continues with the launch of the Aero Brownie Egg. This SKU combines the brand's signature aerated texture with a rich brownie flavour, aligning with the broader market trend for dessert-inspired chocolate.
Sustainability and Core Range
Nestlé confirmed that all chocolate in the seasonal range is produced using 100% certified Rainforest Alliance cocoa, a critical baseline requirement for major UK retailers.
The innovation lineup sits alongside returning volume drivers, including Smarties Sea Splash, Smarties Dinosaur Eggs, the Quality Street Incredible Egg, and the classic range of shell eggs from brands like Lion, Toffee Crisp, Munchies, Rolo, and Yorkie.
