Beverage brand Monster Energy has expanded its motorsport collaboration portfolio with the preview of an official McLaren Racing energy drink at the 2026 NACS Show in Las Vegas.
Scheduled to launch exclusively across European markets in early 2027, the limited-edition beverage extends the energy drink manufacturer’s racing partnership beyond individual athlete endorsements to represent the entire Formula One constructor team. The product follows the brand’s previous collaboration with McLaren driver Lando Norris, who fronted a custom melon yuzu flavour variant last year.
The release pairs high-profile global motorsport intellectual property with functional beverage branding, deploying team identity and signature livery cues to drive trial within impulse convenience chillers.
Papaya Formulation
The new beverage build centres on a sweet papaya fruit profile, chosen to align directly with McLaren Racing's signature "papaya orange" colour scheme that defines the team's visual identity on the grid:
🍈 McLaren Racing Papaya: A fruit-forward papaya formulation engineered to deliver an authentic sweet tropical profile, developed with zero sugar and low calories.
The exterior packaging integrates McLaren's official team wordmark and emblem alongside Monster’s signature claw logo. Merchandised in standard single-serve cans, the trade dress bridges sports merchandising with the functional energy fixture, designed to stand out on shelf through recognisable racing heritage.
Rollout Timeline
The co-branded product will be distributed exclusively in Europe, reflecting the sport's high audience density and cultural footprint across key European sporting markets.
Previewed to commercial retail buyers and distributors at NACS 2026, the zero-sugar papaya SKU is scheduled to initiate commercial distribution during the early months of 2027. The rollout will target grocery multiples, convenience forecourts, and independent retailers across the continent ahead of the start of the international racing season.
