Lucky Energy has unveiled a brand repositioning and packaging redesign across its functional energy drinks and energy gummies at the 2026 NACS Show in Las Vegas.
Developed in collaboration with creative agency Dayjob, the updated identity introduces a monochrome packaging architecture, a revised brand mission, and updated product messaging. The refreshed portfolio will commence commercial distribution across digital direct-to-consumer channels, Amazon, and select brick-and-mortar retail accounts in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The visual overhaul coincides with ongoing commercial expansion across convenience, grocery, and mass-market channels, with the company projecting its physical footprint will reach 17,000 retail locations throughout the United States by the end of 2026.
"Lucky has always come from a deeply personal place: the feeling that being here, getting another day and having the chance to make something of it is extraordinary," said Richard Laver, founder of Lucky Energy. "This new identity captures that idea. It is cleaner, sharper, and more grown-up, but it still has the same heart. We are not telling people to wait around for luck. We are inviting them to recognise it, create it, and bring good energy to whatever comes next."
Visual Identity and Packaging Overhaul
The redesign replaces the brand's previous livery with a minimalist visual system engineered to improve navigation and shelf stand-out within high-density impulse chillers.
The updated packaging structure features:
Monochrome Base: A black-and-white foundation anchoring the can face to create clean contrast against competitor products.
Refined Typography: A bold, dynamic wordmark that evolves the company's established tape design motif.
Single-Source Colour Accents: Flavour-specific graphics that serve as the sole colour element on each pack to assist category navigation.
Benefit Hierarchy: A clear front-of-pack display of functional ingredients and nutritional credentials.
While the beverage formulation, caffeine dosage, pricing, and pack sizing remain unchanged, the company has modified its complementary confectionery range, incorporating higher dietary fibre content into its functional energy gummies.
Packaging Architecture and Format
In contrast to newer functional and clean-label beverage brands that have predominantly launched in 12-ounce slim cans, Lucky Energy is maintaining the traditional 16-ounce (approx. 473ml) volume format for its primary grocery and convenience lines.
The company is positioning its zero-sugar, zero-calorie formula directly within the full-sized format favoured by core energy drink consumers, seeking to bridge the gap between high-stimulant performance energy lines and modern wellness beverages. The smaller 12-ounce can size will be reserved exclusively for wholesale club channels.
