JDE Peet's has expanded its UK single-serve portfolio with the commercial launch of a limited-edition Pumpkin Spice variety under its premium L'OR brand.
Arriving in supermarket aisles from early September 2026, the product introduces autumn café flavour profiles to the domestic single-serve pod fixture. Formulated to combine espresso with warming seasonal spices, the line extension addresses rising consumer demand for indulgent, out-of-home beverage profiles within the at-home packaged coffee category.
Flavour Profile
The new L'OR Pumpkin Spice Capsules blend roasted espresso with aromatic notes of cinnamon, clove leaves, and star anise to deliver a rounded seasonal finish.
While pumpkin-forward profiles remain a primary traffic driver across out-of-home coffeehouse menus during autumn trading, brand owner JDE Peet's noted that dedicated options in the packaged at-home single-serve segment have historically remained limited.
Maria Kabalyk, Head of Category and Shopper at JDE Peet's, stated that seasonal flavours have become key calendar moments for coffee drinkers, particularly younger adult shoppers seeking indulgent coffee experiences in the home. Kabalyk added that the limited-edition launch is structured to bring seasonal interest to retail coffee fixtures while creating incremental category value for retail partners.
Packaging Architecture and Sustainable Recycling
The product uses L'OR's standard aluminium capsule format, engineered to protect aroma and roast integrity.
To align with circular packaging initiatives, the capsules are fully recyclable through the UK industry-backed Podback collection scheme, which facilitates kerbside and drop-off recycling for post-consumer coffee pods. The secondary outer packaging is produced from widely recyclable cardboard.
Commercial Distribution and Availability
L'OR Pumpkin Spice Capsules are rolling out across the UK grocery and e-commerce landscape starting in early September 2026.
Key commercial parameters of the launch include:
Retail Stockists: Physical and digital distribution secured across Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, and Amazon.
Pricing Tier: Positioned at a recommended retail price (RRP) of £4.69 per pack, subject to independent retailer discretion.
Format: Single-serve aluminium capsules compatible with standard Nespresso-compatible pod machines.
The commercial rollout provides grocery retailers with a seasonal coffee pod option designed to capture early autumn footfall and basket additions across the ambient hot beverage aisle.
