US dairy cooperative Land O’ Lakes has announced the return of its limited-edition Every Little Thing Butter Spread, securing retail distribution across select Kroger stores for the summer trading season.
The product's return follows an initial short-run pilot phase executed in March 2023. By reintroducing the savoury spread as a limited-time offering (LTO), the manufacturer aims to capture incremental seasonal sales within the refrigerated dairy category during peak summer entertaining and outdoor dining periods.
Seasonal Dairy Product Formulations and Ingredients
The product is packaged in 6.5-oz (approximately 184g) tubs and blends savoury seasonings with a traditional dairy base. The product specifications include:
🥯 Everything Bagel Blend – A savoury seasoning profile incorporating garlic, onion, poppy seeds, and hemp seeds to deliver a textured, crunch-forward mouthfeel.
🧈 Creamy Butter Base – Crafted using the manufacturer’s signature Land O Lakes butter formulation as the primary vehicle.
The compound butter is designed to be versatile, serving as a convenient flavour enhancer for warm-weather culinary applications including grilled meats, vegetables, pasta dishes, and breakfast foods.
Category Trends and Retail Distribution
According to Angela Pengelly, Vice President of Marketing for Land O’ Lakes Dairy Foods, the decision to bring back the flavoured spread was driven by positive consumer feedback during its initial limited market launch. The product provides retail operators with an opportunity to drive impulse purchases in the dairy aisle by offering a simple mechanism for consumers to add complex, pre-blended flavour profiles to home-cooked meals.
Land O’ Lakes is executing a targeted retail rollout to support the seasonal launch. Every Little Thing Butter Spread is currently available in the refrigerated aisle at select Kroger supermarkets nationwide, retailing for a limited time whilst stocks last.
