Global natural ingredients manufacturer Kalsec Inc. has announced the appointment of Greg Shewchuk as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
Shewchuk succeeds outgoing CCO Julie Heine as part of a planned leadership transition following her retirement after 30 years of service at the business.
In his new position, Shewchuk will lead Kalsec's global commercial organisation, overseeing commercial strategy, market expansion, customer experience initiatives, and direct operational leadership across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions.
Executive Appointment and Responsibilities
Bringing more than 30 years of global leadership experience across the food, beverage, and nutritional sectors, Shewchuk assumes responsibility for driving Kalsec's growth across core taste, spice, colour, and food protection ingredient categories.
Shewchuk's remit includes directing global sales channels, expanding market presence across international territories, and enhancing customer engagement across EMEA and APAC distribution hubs.
Don Berdahl, Chief Executive Officer at Kalsec, stated that Shewchuk’s background in managing large-scale commercial operations and high-growth CPG portfolios supports the business's long-term strategy to expand its global customer footprint and commercial capabilities.
Industry Experience and Background
Shewchuk joins Kalsec with extensive leadership experience across multi-billion-dollar CPG enterprises, private equity-backed ventures, and international food manufacturing businesses:
💼 MyForest Foods and SpoonfulONE: Served as Chief Executive Officer of both private equity-backed consumer businesses, driving commercial growth and scaling operational footprint.
🥣 Campbell Soup Company: Served as Senior Vice President leading the business's US$3.3 billion US retail division, managing core brand portfolios including Campbell's, Chunky, Swanson, Prego, and V8 Beverages.

Shewchuk holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Western Ontario.
Executive Succession Timeline
The appointment completes a structured succession plan following the retirement of Julie Heine, who served in various commercial leadership roles at Kalsec over a 30-year tenure.
The leadership transition positions Kalsec to accelerate its global growth initiatives across natural taste and sensory solutions, colours, and food protection platforms for global food and beverage manufacturers.
