Hormel Foods Corporation has announced the appointment of Jason Levine to the newly created role of enterprise-wide Chief Marketing Officer. The strategic hire underscores the Fortune 500 company's commitment to accelerating growth and innovation through a strengthened consumer-centric strategy.

Levine joins the company with over two decades of experience in the consumer packaged goods sector, having held high-profile leadership roles at global heavyweights including Mondelēz International and Kraft Foods Group.

The creation of the enterprise-wide CMO role represents a shift in Hormel’s operational structure, designed to advance marketing capabilities across all business segments. Levine’s remit will focus on brand strategy, digital transformation, and the creation of scalable marketing platforms.

A key structural change under Levine’s leadership involves the alignment of enterprise business analytics—spanning revenue growth management and shopper insights—with the company's "Brand Fuel" function. This hub serves as the centre for innovation, consumer insights, e-commerce, and digital content, facilitating a more integrated approach to data-driven growth.

Jason Levine is a seasoned marketing executive with a track record of driving modernisation for heritage brands.

  • Mondelēz International: Served as CMO for North America, leading marketing for a multibillion-dollar portfolio that included OREO and RITZ. He is credited with driving cross-category growth and innovation during his tenure.

  • Recent Roles: Most recently served as CMO for PIM Brands (Welch's® fruit snacks) and held leadership positions at Whisps Snacks and Sabra Dipping Company.

John Ghingo, President of Hormel Foods, commented on the appointment:

"We're excited to have Jason join us and take on this new role — an important step in advancing our marketing capabilities and driving growth across all segments of our business. Jason brings deep expertise in global brand building, innovation and digital strategy across well-known brands, and his leadership will help us unlock the full potential of our iconic brands and accelerate our long-range growth ambitions."
