Harry Davis and Company (HDC) has completed the sale of the former Harrisburg Dairies facility to Patanjali Dairy USA LLC. The acquisition follows the suspension of operations at the Harrisburg site in October and ensures the continuation of dairy production at the 3-acre location.
The facility, which has served the local community for 94 years, is situated within the Central Pennsylvania milkshed. By facilitating this transaction, HDC has enabled the retention of local dairy production capabilities and jobs.
Lenny Davis, CEO of HDC, noted that the site’s existing infrastructure and distribution capabilities were significant factors in attracting a buyer. “The facility’s location in the Central Pennsylvania milkshed along with its distribution capabilities and infrastructure made it an attractive option for a growing ethnic dairy foods company,” Davis stated.
“Ultimately, we are proud to be able to facilitate a transaction that retains local dairy production and jobs. It is a positive result for the new leadership and the community.”
Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Harry Davis and Company is a third-generation firm specialising in asset valuations, business strategy, and the sale of operating businesses and facilities. Serving industries including dairy, food and beverage, and industrial manufacturing, the organisation connects buyers and sellers within the food and beverage market.
