HARIBO has expanded its gummy portfolio with the launch of a collection of five single-flavour gummy products, each paired with an individual character shape and formulated using non-artificial colours.
Rolling out initially as a retail exclusive through discount chain Dollar Tree, the lineup introduces Straw-Fairies, Blue Raspberr-Bees, Dragon's-Fruit, Fla-Mangos, and Pear-akeets. Unlike traditional multi-flavour gummy assortments that mix assorted shapes and fruit profiles in a single pouch, the range isolates one distinct fruit profile and character design per pack.
The commercial introduction targets changing purchasing habits in the sugar confectionery fixture, where brand owners are deploying mono-flavour packaging architectures and novelty shapes to stimulate collectability, impulse checkout conversion, and flavour-specific snacking occasions.
"We know there's something special about finding your favourite HARIBO treat and sometimes the best part is sharing that little moment of happiness with someone else," said Zoe Lyle, Associate Brand Manager at HARIBO. "This collection brings that playful spirit to five bold fruit flavours, giving fans of all ages new friends to meet, flavours to discover and plenty of fun to share."
Product Formulations and Character Architecture
The five-SKU collection spans both mainstream fruit staples and emerging tropical and orchard profiles, utilising non-artificial colourants to achieve vibrant hues:
🍓 Straw-Fairies: Sweet strawberry-flavoured red gummies moulded into whimsical fairy shapes.
🐝 Blue Raspberr-Bees: Vibrant blue bee-shaped gummies featuring a tart, sweet blue raspberry flavour profile.
🐉 Dragon's-Fruit: Hot pink dragon-shaped gummies delivering a tropical dragon fruit flavour punch.
🦩 Fla-Mangos: Bright orange flamingo-shaped pieces formulated with juicy mango flavour notes.
🦜 Pear-akeets: Green parakeet-shaped gummies delivering a crisp orchard pear flavour profile.
By pairing each fruit profile with a bespoke character design and natural colouring system, the range addresses expanding consumer and parental scrutiny over artificial food dyes while retaining the vibrant visual presentation characteristic of modern novelty confectionery.
Retail and Availability
The decision to launch single-flavour bags marks an operational evolution from standard multi-variety gummy mixes such as Goldbears or Starmix.
In mixed-flavour bags, consumers often self-select preferred colours and fruit flavours, which can lead to product waste or uneven consumption. Delivering mono-flavour packs allows confectionery retailers to capitalise on targeted consumer taste loyalties, while the five-piece character set encourages multi-pack purchasing and basket building among shoppers seeking to collect the entire assortment.
Debuting the line first at Dollar Tree provides HARIBO with a high-turnover testing environment across thousands of value-oriented retail stores. The single-price-point discount channel functions as an effective commercial proving ground for impulse confectionery formats, allowing the manufacturer to evaluate SKU-level velocity and flavour preferences before expanding distribution across mass merchandisers, supermarket multiples, and convenience networks.
HARIBO's single-flavour gummy collection is available now at Dollar Tree locations nationwide for a limited operating window while supplies last.
