Glebe Farm Foods has expanded its plant-based beverage portfolio with the commercial introduction of PureOaty Coconut Oat Drink.
The new product combines British gluten-free oats with coconut cream to deliver a naturally creamy dairy alternative with subtle coconut notes. The launch arrives alongside an updated brand identity and packaging refresh across the wider PureOaty line.
Packaged in 1-litre aseptic cartons, the SKU is formulated for retail and foodservice channels, targeting both cold consumption and hot beverage applications.
Formulation and Ingredients
Unlike conventional coconut milk alternatives that frequently rely on rice or soya bases, stabilising gums, or added oils, Glebe Farm has formulated the beverage around an oat base using four natural ingredients: water, British gluten-free oats (15%), coconut cream, and salt.
The recipe contains no added sugars, artificial additives, or non-dairy thickeners, maintaining the brand's core clean-label processing standards:
Nutritional Composition: Each 100ml serving provides 62 kcal, 3.0g of fat (of which 1.5g is saturates), 8.7g of carbohydrates (with 1.5g naturally occurring sugars), and 0.12g of salt.
Grain Sourcing: The formulation utilises 100% British oats grown on Glebe Farm’s own land and by contracted growers situated within a 70-mile radius of the processing site.
Processing Standards: The drink is manufactured directly from whole milled grain rather than reconstituted concentrate, preserving natural starches to support emulsion stability and mouthfeel.
Allergen Control: Certified 100% gluten-free by Coeliac UK, the drink is produced in dedicated gluten-free milling and processing lines to prevent cross-contamination.
The hybrid profile is engineered to address cross-category usage occasions across household breakfast and commercial hospitality preparation.
Beyond direct chilled consumption and use over morning cereals, the company has targeted the product for blending in smoothies and milkshakes, incorporation into chilled mocktails and cocktails, and integration into speciality hot drinks. The inclusion of coconut fat alongside oat proteins provides the body required to avoid separation when introduced to acidic or hot liquid bases.

The introduction highlights Glebe Farm's farm-to-pack operational structure in Cambridgeshire, which remains the only vertically integrated facility in the UK managing gluten-free oat cultivation, milling, and liquid beverage manufacturing at a single operational base.
Operating within a 150-metre processing footprint from raw grain delivery to finished carton packaging, the business relies on on-site solar arrays and biomass infrastructure to minimise logistical food miles and production emissions.
PureOaty Coconut Oat Drink is currently available directly through Glebe Farm's e-commerce platform and wholesale distribution networks, with wider grocery retail placement rolling out across the UK market.
