Finnish food major Fazer Bakery is expanding its retail portfolio with the rollout of 11 new bakery products across supermarket networks starting 18 August 2026. The launch introduces additions across established brand lines, including Oululainen Reissumies, Oululainen Jälkiuuni, Fazer Paahto, and Pullava.

The expanded range addresses consumer demand for high-fibre whole grains, café-style home toast formats, and expanded gluten-free options within the commercial bakery aisle.

Whole Grain Rye and Seeded

The autumn range expands Fazer's rye offerings, produced at its commercial bakery facility in Lahti, Finland. The launches combine traditional sourdough baking methods with functional seed and whole-grain formulations.

The new rye offerings include:

🌾 Oululainen Reissumies Tosi Ohut Siemen-ruis (175g): A thin sourdough rye bread containing 46 per cent wholegrain rye, combined with roasted sunflower, pumpkin, and flax seeds for a crunchy texture.

🌾 Oululainen Reissumies Tosi Ohut Ruis (175g and 350g): A refreshed thin, chewy sourdough rye bread made with 58 per cent wholegrain rye flour.

🍒 Oululainen Jälkiuuni Juhlapala Tumma Ruis (230g): A seasonal dark rye SKU formulated with 100 per cent wholegrain rye, roasted malt, cranberry, and sweet syrup notes, available through 25 January 2027.

🥖 Oululainen Jälkiuuni Aito Ruis (240g): A high-fibre, sourdough-derived bread manufactured using 100 per cent wholegrain rye flour.

Toast Breads and Café Style Bagels

To address the growth of convenient breakfast and home-dining occasions, Fazer is expanding its toast and pre-sliced bagel ranges manufactured across its Vantaa and Lahti baking facilities.

The new toast and bagel SKUs comprise:

🍞 Fazer Paahto Vehnä & Puffattu Kaura (350g): A wheat toast bread incorporating puffed oats to deliver a distinct texture and roasted oat flavour profile.

🧀 Fazer Lemppari Paahtobagel Juusto (260g): A pre-sliced, cheese-topped bagel engineered for home toasting and savoury sandwich preparation.

🫓 Fazer Lemppari Paahtobagel Seesaminsiemen (260g): A pre-sliced bagel coated in roasted sesame seeds to support café-style home breakfast formats.

Sweet Bakery and Gluten Free

Marking the 50th anniversary of the Pullava brand, Fazer is debuting seasonal sweet bakery options alongside permanent additions to its gluten-free portfolio.

The sweet bakery lineup features:

🫐 Oululainen Pullava Mustikkapiirakkapitko (300g): A cardamom-spiced sweet braided bun filled with blueberry pie filling and topped with an oat crumble, available seasonally until 25 January 2027.

🧁 Oululainen Pullava Gluteeniton Dallaspulla (140g): A low-lactose, gluten-free sweet bun filled with a vanilla-flavoured quark filling.

🌀 Oululainen Pullava Gluteeniton Texaspulla (140g): A lactose-free, gluten-free sweet bun featuring a cinnamon-spiced swirl centre.

❄️ Oululainen Pullava Kanelikierre (420g): A palm-oil-free, ready-to-bake frozen sweet bun featuring a cinnamon-quark filling,

 available from 31 August 2026.

All fresh bread and sweet bakery SKUs feature domestic Finnish grain sourcing and carry regional origin certifications, including the Produce of Finland and Key Flag symbols.
