Disaronno has introduced a comprehensive bottle redesign across the United States, updating the trade dress and structural packaging of its flagship Disaronno Originale SKU.

Commercially available nationwide from 1 October, the updated packaging marks a visual evolution for the brand, updating its shelf presence while retaining the core rectangular silhouette that has defined the label for decades. The rollout represents the brand's latest packaging refresh in the US market, aimed at reinforcing its positioning across off-premise retail displays and back-bar visibility in the hospitality sector.

"Disaronno is a brand people recognise instantly, and the new bottle builds on that familiarity while giving it a fresh, more contemporary look," said Marty Kuta, Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Disaronno International USA.

"It feels unmistakably Disaronno, but also signals an exciting next chapter for the brand in the U.S. We're looking forward to having it on shelves this fall and continuing to bring the Dolce Side of Life to consumers in new and engaging ways."

Packaging Architecture and Structural Redesign

The redesigned bottle incorporates structural and graphic modifications engineered to improve handling ergonomics for bartenders and consumers while presenting a modernised aesthetic on retail shelves:

🍾 Bottle Architecture: Engineered with a taller, lighter, and brighter glass structure, designed to elevate back-bar presence and streamline bottle handling.

🔲 Cap Geometry: A re-engineered square closure featuring a redefined aesthetic that modernises the brand’s historic rectangular cap.

🏷️ Founder Heritage: The signature of founder Domenico Reina is now embossed directly into the glass body alongside a newly introduced "DD" monogram representing Disaronno and Domenico Reina.

🎨 Visual Palette: A revised colour scheme incorporating bright gold tones paired with light blue label accents to contrast against the amber liqueur liquid.

The structural weight reduction in the glass packaging supports broader industry shifts toward lower transit weights, reducing freight emissions and shipping overheads across transatlantic distribution routes.

Brand Equity and Heritage Positioning

The packaging refresh balances contemporary trade dress with the brand’s multi-generational distilling history.

By embossing founder Domenico Reina's signature and incorporating the new "DD" monogram into the glass itself, the brand highlights its historical provenance and artisanal credibility, addressing consumer demand for authentic heritage brands within the cordial and liqueur segment.

"With this campaign, we aimed to honor everything Disaronno has always represented while connecting authentically with the needs and aspirations of today's consumers," said Luca Picotti, Global Chief Marketing Director of Disaronno International.

"More than ever, people are looking for moments of sweetness they can enjoy in their everyday lives. The Dolce Side of Life captures exactly that: the beauty of what is real, simple, and accessible. Together with our new bottle identity, this campaign represents an important step forward for Disaronno as we continue to evolve while staying true to our heritage."

Marketing Integration

The visual update is integrated directly into the brand's ongoing global marketing platform, "The Dolce Side of Life", which positions the Italian liqueur across daytime, early evening, and casual social drinking occasions.

The marketing programme will deploy across digital video, paid social media, influencer partnerships, and on-premise brand activations. Central to the commercial strategy is the promotion of accessible cocktail serves:

Disaronno Spritz: A lower-ABV daytime aperitivo serve combining Disaronno with sparkling wine and soda water, targeting brunch and early evening dayparts.

Disaronno Sour: The brand's signature sour build, pairing the almond notes of the liqueur with fresh lemon juice to target classic cocktail menus in casual and premium hospitality accounts.

By emphasising versatile, low-effort cocktail applications, Disaronno aims to broaden consumption beyond after-dinner sipping into high-volume aperitivo and cocktail dayparts.

Commercial Availability

The newly packaged Disaronno bottles commenced nationwide distribution on 1 October across off-premise supermarket chains, independent liquor stores, and on-premise hospitality venues throughout the United States.
