Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America (AGP-North America), an operating business of Ardagh Group, has announced the renewal of its strategic supply agreement with packaging supplier Stanpac, continuing a multi-decade partnership focused on American-made glass containers for the food and dairy sectors.
Founded in 1949, Stanpac supplies and decorates glass milk bottles and closures for dairy and beverage brands across North America. The renewed agreement reinforces the companies' collaborative supply chain framework, supporting expanding commercial demand for refillable and reusable glass packaging formats.
Consumer preference for sustainable packaging remains strong across the United States. Recent nationwide market data from EcoFocus indicates that 57% of consumers purchase food and beverages in glass whenever available, while 64% express a preference for wider product availability in glass containers. Furthermore, 45% of shoppers identify recyclability and 43% cite reusability as primary purchasing influencers.
"We greatly value our long-standing partnership with Ardagh Glass Packaging and the role they play in helping us serve our customers," said Cam Simmons, Vice President of Bottle Decorating at Stanpac.
"Demand in our dairy industry naturally has its ebbs and flows, and Ardagh has consistently worked with us to respond to those changes and ensure we have the supply we need. Their commitment to producing high-quality, North American-made glass milk bottles, along with their willingness to adapt and work closely with our team, has been an important part of our ability to meet the needs of our customers."
Reusable Glass Innovations
For more than ten years, the supply partnership has underpinned award-winning packaging formats recognised by the Glass Packaging Institute's Clear Choice Awards.
Notable collaborative executions include Volleman's Family Farm 32-ounce refillable milk bottle and Straus Family Creamery's half-gallon organic milk jug. Ardagh Glass Packaging manufactures both container lines domestically and distributes and decorates them through Stanpac’s supply network.
"Ardagh Glass Packaging's partnership with Stanpac reflects a shared commitment to supporting food and dairy brands with refillable glass packaging that preserves the taste of the product and extends shelf life," said Thaddeus Luebbers, Vice President of Sales for Ardagh Glass Packaging-North America.
"We are proud to continue manufacturing the glass containers that help Stanpac's customers differentiate their products while advancing refillable packaging programs and sustainability goals, including those associated with Extended Producer Responsibility regulations."
Domestic Manufacturing and Regulatory Compliance
Operating across the United States for over 125 years, Ardagh Glass Packaging produces infinitely recyclable glass bottles and jars across diverse colour profiles, sizes, and architectural finishes.
The renewed partnership provides dairy and food processors with supply chain stability as manufacturers adapt to evolving environmental mandates, including emerging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations governing packaging lifecycle footprints across North America.
