Sydney-founded Archie Rose Distilling Co. has appointed Australian actor Chris Hemsworth as co-owner alongside founder Will Edwards, as the independent spirits producer prepares for its autumn 2026 commercial debut in the United States and broader global expansion.
The appointment precedes a multi-market international distribution strategy, backed by new US distributor agreements, B Corp certification, and a planned pipeline of co-created spirits.
US Distribution
Beginning in autumn 2026, Archie Rose's Australian whiskies will enter the US market through a national distribution network.
To support its commercial entry into North America, the distillery has secured trade agreements with major US beverage distributors:
National Distribution Partner:Â Reyes Beverage Group (RBG), managing national wholesale operations across primary US markets.
New York Market:Â New York Wine & Spirits managing state-level trade distribution.
New Jersey Market:Â Fedway Associates directing regional off-premise and on-premise accounts.
Kyle Dean, President of Spirits and Wine for Reyes Beverage Group, stated that Archie Rose delivers a differentiated premium proposition that aligns with modern spirits consumer preferences, adding that the partnership will focus on scaling brand equity across US retail and hospitality channels.
"I've been a fan of Archie Rose for a long time," says Hemsworth. "Wherever I am in the world, tasting an Archie Rose whisky immediately transports me right back home, to that feeling of sitting around a campfire in the Australian bush with my mates. Their ethos of only using Australian grown malts to produce flavour packed whiskies at their Sydney distillery is truly awesome. They're a brilliant example of what Australia does best and I can't wait to share that with the world."
Australian Sourcing and Production Infrastructure
Founded in Sydney in 2014, Archie Rose manufactures spirits utilising raw materials sourced directly from Australian agricultural producers.
Key operational and processing specifications across the distillery's portfolio include:
đŸ Heirloom Grain Sourcing: Partners with regional growers to supply drought-resistant and heirloom grain varieties, alongside native botanicals for its gin range.
đŸ Custom Australian Malts: Uses custom-grown Australian rye and barley malts engineered specifically for the distillery's mash bills.
âïž Individual Component Processing:Â Individually mills, mashes, ferments, distils, and matures each malt variety separately prior to blending, alongside utilising cold distillation for its gin processing.
đ± B Corp Certification:Â Achieved B Corp certification in June 2026, following the implementation of energy-efficiency measures and sustainable grain-sourcing frameworks across its Sydney facility.
Will Edwards, Founder of Archie Rose, noted that the company's operational model focuses on using Australian agricultural inputs and technical distillation methods to establish a distinct international profile for Australian spirits.
International Expansion Pipeline and Co-Created Whiskies
Following its initial US launch, Archie Rose plans to expand its international distribution footprint across Asia-Pacific and European markets.
The enterprise's upcoming product pipeline and international deployment schedule include:
đ„ Co-Created Whisky Range:Â Three new whisky expressions co-created alongside Chris Hemsworth, scheduled to launch in late 2026 across Asia and New Zealand.
đ European and UK Rollout:Â Planned expansion into the United Kingdom and European Union markets scheduled for 2027.
Chris Hemsworth stated that the distillery's commitment to Australian-grown malts and local production standards provides a strong foundation for introducing Australian craft spirits to international markets.
