Beyond Meat has announced the retail rollout of its Beyond Steak Filet, which is now available at Wegmans and H-E-B stores. This launch represents the first time the product has been accessible to consumers in a retail setting, following its initial debut via the company's direct-to-consumer platform in October 2025.

Product and Nutritional Profile
The Beyond Steak Filet is formulated using mycelium and avocado oil as core ingredients. According to the company, the product provides 28g of plant-based protein per serving, along with 3g of fibre and 1g of saturated fat.
The product has been developed to mirror the texture and taste profile of steak, aiming to provide a plant-based alternative for centre-of-the-plate applications.
Beyond Meat has positioned the filet as a clean-label option, with the product achieving Clean Label Project Certification and Non-GMO Project Verification. It is also formulated without added antibiotics or hormones.
Ethan Brown, founder and CEO of Beyond Meat, noted that the product serves as a significant innovation for the brand's portfolio. The move to retail distribution aligns with the company’s efforts to increase accessibility for its latest plant-based offerings.
The Beyond Steak Filet joins a portfolio of more than 20 products from Beyond Meat that have met the purity and transparency standards required by the Clean Label Project. The expansion into Wegmans and H-E-B locations is part of a broader push by the company to establish its mycelium-based offerings in the wider meat-alternative category.
