Confectionery robotics manufacturer Sweet Robo has announced the commercial launch of its new ICEE Cotton Candy Machine lineup, developed in partnership with Santa Cruz Fun Foods, the exclusive licensee of ICEE Cotton Candy. Following an initial trade preview at the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Las Vegas, the companies have commenced commercial deployments across North American retail, entertainment, and high-footfall commercial venues.
The initial production batch of 100 machines is shipping to commercial clients during summer 2026. The platform combines ICEE's flavour portfolio with automated robotics to supply freshly spun cotton candy on demand.
Retail Automation
The collaboration aligns with a broader industry trend toward retail automation and interactive experiential foodservice. By converting established beverage and confectionery flavour profiles into an automated on-demand product, the platform aims to provide commercial operators with a turnkey, low-labour attraction.
Piny Vind, Chief Executive Officer of Sweet Robo, stated that the partnership combines established brand equity with robotics to deliver interactive engagement while offering venue operators a new revenue-generating asset.
Ken Whiting, President of Santa Cruz Fun Foods, added that the commercialisation of the platform provides consumers with a new format to access established brand flavours across interactive retail touchpoints.

Machine Specifications
The commercial release incorporates two distinct machine configurations engineered for varying footfall levels and floor-space constraints:
🤖 ICEE Cotton Candy Vending Machine: A standalone, fully automated self-service unit developed for high-footfall environments, including shopping centres, family entertainment centres, amusement parks, and cinema foyers.
🍦 ICEE Cotton Candy Mini Pro: A compact countertop model engineered for point-of-sale placement across convenience stores, service stations, and speciality retail locations.
Each machine model is equipped to dispense between four and six distinct flavour options, incorporating several of ICEE's core brand varieties.
Commercial Deployment and Supply Chain
Sweet Robo's proprietary automation technology prepares and shapes the cotton candy dynamically upon customer order, eliminating the need for pre-packaged inventory management by venue staff.
The initial shipment of 100 units began dispatching from manufacturing facilities at the end of June 2026, with primary venue installations and commercial operations deploying through the summer trading period.
