Subway has announced a menu expansion under its "Hot Honey Signature Swicy Collection", debuting co-branded Doritos Hot Honey Nachos alongside two limited-time sandwich offerings and a functional beverage addition.
Scheduled for commercial availability from 20 August through 26 October 2026 across participating US locations, the platform combines sweet-and-spicy ("swicy") flavour engineering with high-equity CPG brand partnerships to stimulate late-summer and early-autumn store footfall.
Co-Branded Menu Innovations and Formulations
The limited-time offering (LTO) platform introduces a new format for the QSR chain, placing loaded nachos into its central kitchen assembly lines alongside returning sandwich options.
The menu additions entering distribution include:
🧀 Doritos Hot Honey Nachos in Cheese: Crispy Doritos Nacho Cheese tortilla chips topped with melted Monterey cheddar, diced vegetables, and a hot honey sauce drizzle, priced starting at US$4.99.
🍗 Doritos Hot Honey Nachos in Chicken: A protein-topped loaded nacho variant featuring chicken breast, Monterey cheddar, vegetables, and hot honey, priced starting at US$4.99.
🥩 Doritos Hot Honey Nachos in Steak: A premium protein variation featuring shaved steak, melted cheese, vegetables, and hot honey sauce.
🥖 Hot Honey Italian Sub: A toasted sandwich build featuring salami, pepperoni, Italian-style provolone, and hot honey sauce.
🥪 Hot Honey Turkey Italiano Sub: A toasted sandwich variant combining sliced turkey breast, salami, pepperoni, provolone, and hot honey sauce.
🍓 Propel Kiwi Strawberry: A zero-sugar, electrolyte-fortified functional beverage offering from PepsiCo's Gatorade division.
Brand Partnerships
The strategic rollout reflects ongoing QSR menu engineering practices, where regional and national operators leverage co-branded ingredient partnerships with major CPG brands to drive menu excitement without introducing operational friction to store staff.
Jeff Klein, Chief Marketing Officer at Subway, stated that partnering with Doritos allowed the brand to apply its hot honey flavour profile across a new snack format, combining crunch and value across digital and physical ordering channels.
Chef Paul Fabre, Senior Vice-President of Culinary Innovation at Subway, added that the culinary objective focused on balancing spicy chilli heat with subtle sweetness to create a repeatable taste profile across both sandwich and nacho platforms.
Availability
To support transaction velocity throughout the August to October trading window, Subway is integrating the Hot Honey Signature Swicy Collection across its full digital and physical ordering ecosystem:
Omnichannel Ordering: Available across front-counter ordering, drive-thru locations, the proprietary Subway mobile application, and Subway.com.
Limited-Time Window: Positioned as a short-run LTO running from 20 August to 26 October 2026 across participating US locations.
Value Tier Pricing: Entry-level cheese and chicken nacho builds positioned at US$4.99 in participating markets to capture afternoon snacking and side-item add-on purchases.
