SmartSweets has announced its entry into the fruit snack category with the introduction of its new Fruit Flavoured Snacks. This launch marks the brand's first expansion beyond the confectionery aisle, applying its low-sugar product development strategy to the broader snacking market.
The product range is designed to address consumer demand for lower-sugar alternatives to traditional fruit snacks, containing 63% less sugar than standard industry offerings. Each 19g pouch contains 3g of sugar and 3g of fiber. The product line is formulated without artificial flavours, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, or synthetic dyes, instead utilising real fruit and vegetable juices for colouring.

By diversifying its portfolio, SmartSweets aims to capture share in the fruit snack segment, a category frequently purchased by families for school lunches and on-the-go consumption. The brand intends to leverage its established market position in the better-for-you space to reach new consumer demographics and snacking occasions.
Distribution and Availability
The products are currently available in the fruit snack aisle at Target and Kroger. A wider retail rollout is scheduled for later this summer, with listings confirmed at Sprouts and Whole Foods, as well as through Amazon.
